Don’t laugh—we intend to launch the world’s largest grassroots health movement. We’ll do that by making a delicious, affordable, all-natural pizza and delivering it to your home hot in about 25 minutes. Every time. Still round, still comes in a square box. But also, Naked Pizza is an honest place on the landscape in a 40 billion dollar pizza industry. We’re simply pointing out that all that money spent on pizza and invested in building stores, hiring people, sourcing ingredients, etc.—along with the millions of farmers and suppliers and regulators and Oprahs involved along the way—can be mobilized in a better way. To help instead of harm. Really, why not? It’s a social mission.

What makes it naked?
Naked means natural. Our pizza is simply an honest diversity of all-natural, whole food ingredients that taste better and are better for you. Ten grains in the crust? Really?
Our dough is made from an Ancestral Blend® of 10 grains plus prebiotic agave fiber and probiotics (healthful bacteria like the ones found in yogurt for balance and digestive health) bound by water and baked into a golden crust (try the skinny—thin). The grains we use include oats, brown rice, buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth, teff, spelt, tapioca, and two kinds of wheat. This diversity of grains, fiber and probiotics are the main reason for that satisfying feeling you get after eating Naked Pizza, contributing to a slow, sustained release of energy without the crash from eating other single grain, highly processed pizzas.

What’s a probiotic?
Probiotics are live microorganisms—or good bacteria—that when consumed in adequate amounts, optimize nutrition and improve balance. You may have heard about probiotics in yogurt. Ours are the same, except able to naturally survive the baking process. That’s an added benefit because unlike most of the probiotics in yogurt, ours survive stomach acid to reach the lower digestive system, which is precisely where they need to be.

What’s prebiotic agave fiber? Will I wake up with a bengal tiger in my bed the next morning?
A prebiotic is essentially fiber, food for the health-giving bacteria (probiotics) in your gut. Ours is one of the highest quality fibers available. It comes from the ancient blue agave plant, adding a slight touch of sweet without any sugar crash.

What’s the story on the natural, whole food ingredients?
Better taste, better for you. Our tomato sauce is all-natural—nicely spiced and herbed, with no added sugar. Our cheese is 100% natural, real Wisconsin mozzarella. Our vegetables are all-natural. Our meats —pork, chicken and beef— are free of growth hormones. Full of love.

Wait, did you just say that other pizzas are a “big donut slathered with tomato sauce?”
Yep. Most of the other guys’ highly processed pies feature a crust made from a single grain, stripped of its nutrition to make a white flour. To your body, these highly processed carbs are the same as a 32-ounce Big Gulp Dr. Pepper, resulting in a flood of insulin to your system which makes for all kinds of nasty business. Conversely, our pizza (your pizza too) is more slowly digested, so less insulin dump (we’re certified low GI), more optimizing of nutrition, a satisfying feeling without the crash and icky feeling you get post other guys’ ‘za. Plus it burns more calories because it digests slowly. Other pizzas also typically add sugar to the dough and sauce, extend the cheese by cutting it with oil, and use butter and/or hydrogenated oils. Umm, not good.

So is naked a diet pizza?
No. While we have fewer calories by comparison, our pizzas are made to be part of your active lifestyle. Real, delicious food, that’s also good for you. We don’t add sugar, high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oil because it tastes better without that junk masking the whole food ingredients. I was wary at first about ordering my first delivery from Naked Pizza, due to the previous negative delivery reviews. But, my delivery was within the time frame given, my delivery person was friendly and quick, the food was as ordered, arrived hot, and the Start Naked 10" Cheese Pizza I ordered plus the Cheesy Bread were absolutely delicious!

It's great food - simple as that. I love that they give you the calorie count because you can see exactly what you ordering every step of the way (including crust, sauce and every topping). Whenever I need a little "cheat" night for pizza and comfort food, this is the PERFECT option. It almost doesn't even feel like cheating! The food quality is very good. Both types of crust for the pizza are great. The cheesy stix keep me coming back though. Oh wow are they good! As a side note: the delivery people are always very friendly. It's nice to see someone come to the door with a smile :) Start to finish - Naked Pizza is always a great experience.

Worst pizza I ever had. This is definitely not authentic Italian pizza. My stomach still hurts, that has never happened to me before. This goes to the trash.

Disagree with all the 2012 reviews about poor service! My order was quoted at 60-75 minutes wait time and came in 38 minutes! Pizza was warm, overflowing with toppings and delicious. Will definitely order again!

Good thin crust. Delivery service is hit or miss. They almost always forget the drinks. Usually they are friendly and professional about it. The last time it happened though, the guy had a really bad attitude. He said he would come back with the drink, and even after I had to call them to confirm he was on the way, he never showed up. I'm not ordering from this place again. If you do order drinks from here, make sure it's the first thing on your order. Seems like they fold the order paper in half and don't bother to look on the other side if they see a pizza.

I placed an order over an hour and a half ago and still have not received my order despite the delivery time frame of 30-45 minutes. I called the restaurant to inquire and was rudely informed that someone at the restaurant accepted the order and yet had failed to prepare the food. Basically, if I had not called then I would be waiting for hours with no food delivered and the restaurant not ever preparing my order. I asked to have the order cancelled and the person rudely said you have to call seamless. This restaurant obviously does not care about having any business as I was not even offered an apology let alone a discount for the hassle. I was told that they could make the order now and it would take at least 25-30 more minutes for it to be delivered. I will never try to order from here again! There are so many pizza places in NYC - why waste your time with this place.

The food was fine but the delivery was a debacle, The driver called before he reached my office (which meant I wasted 15 valuable minutes) and the pizza was squashed in the box and cold.

I ordered 3 vegetables and pepporoni-there was the most digusting amount of pepporni on the pizza-you couldn't even make out a trace of cheese. it was literally covered in meat-DISGUSTING. who would make a pizza like that????

Fantastic pizza here. The original ancestral crust is very tasty, so good you forget it's multigrain. They add just the right amount of cheese, nothing overwhelming. Flavor is good, it could be a bit more robust but I've found that ordering the fresh basil solves that. This place is definitely on my regular Seamless rotation.

Delicious!! Convinced even my picky fiance that "good" pizza could be good for you! Ordered a 10" pizza and the Cheesy breadsticks and they arrived quickly and HOT!! The delivery guy was super polite and quick, and the food was still steaming when we got it. Definitely our new go-to pizza place!
