this is my go-to for italian. i can only speak for the pastas b/c that's all i order but it's my fave in this area. i can't believe there are people saying patsy's is better... they must be from arkansas. the sauces are tasty the pasta is cooked perfectly al dente - which scores huge points for me. I hate over cooked pasta. The portion size is average. Its a little expensive. i just spent $30 on pasta and fried mozzarella. Sometimes delivery can take 45 minutes or so. But I've never had to wait over an hour or it not show up. i've tried plenty of italian in the area and keep coming back to notaro b/c I like their pastas the best.

I order from Notaro twice per week. Food is great. Delivery is fast. All red sauce dishes are very tasty. The only negative is the bread, which is free, but is tasteless. This joint is a total winner every time.

I wish you could upload photos to show what the food at Notaro looks like. I have been living in New York a long time and this has been my favorite restaurant for years. Cant say enough positive things

Notaro offers a wonderful pre fixe dinner that is the perfect Sunday supper for anyone looking to end the week with a bang. Chicken Parm was very good- not soggy or rubbery like "the other guys". The dessert was kinda small and didn't appear to be home-made, but after two large courses I found the tiramisu to be plenty big and plenty delicious.

This place is spectacular. I order from here quite a bit and delivery usually takes about 20 minutes. The gnocci is outstanding as well as the tortellini. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced and you will not be disappointed. Notaro's food is worth more than it's priced so eat up!

I placed an order and literally 2 minutes later they call me to say they can't deliver because their delivery boy is late and that I should call Seamless to cancel my order. WTF?? It's lunchtime, restaurant; perhaps you should have more than one delivery boy?

Order is very late. Food was good once it eventually got here...delivery guy was supposed to call, but failed to and had to deal with a whole ordeal with the downstairs doorman. UPDATE: I upgraded them to a 2 star from a 1 star b/c the food is that good...still took over an hour.

Mediocre. The Gnocchi alla Sorrentina was alright, not the most flavorful I've ever had but passable. The Asparagus salad tasted overly preserved, like it had been made days ago. Not something I would order again. The ricotta cheese cake was tasty and surprisingly light.

I usually love the gnocchi from this restaurant. This time I tried some soup and bowtie pasta with sausage and it was TERRIBLE. It was not what i ordered. The tortellini soup was simply tortellini thrown in a broth. The pasta had a gross tomato sauce on it when it was supposed to have olive oil and sliced plum tomatoes. I will not be ordering from this place again. Also, its WAY over priced! :-(

I would give this zero stars if I could. I ordered the food at 7:43 on a Sunday night and it finally came at 10:05. I called the restaurant multiple times and the owner was very nice, but I would not suggest ordering any food from them. The owner was not able to get in touch with the delivery person, and the time the food got it here it was ICE COLD. It was so bad I actually threw the food out in the garbage. The delivery service here is not good at all and I would highly recommend going somewhere else for delivery.

Ordered food at 7:24. Its 9:00 PM and the food has still not arrived despite assurances from the restaurant that it went out for delivery 30 minutes ago. I live 5 blocks away. Completely unacceptable. I will never order from here again.
