Nu Sushi

I've ordered from Nu for years and had always been happy with the consistency and quality of the fish. However, I've ordered from Nu twice in 2013 and have been horribly disappointed. Today, my lunch order was late (I take some responsibility for this since my cell phone ringer was off, but the delivery guy did not ask the doorman to call up & only rang my cell one time before returning to the restaurant), wrong, AND worst of all, totally inedible. The salad was soaked and soggy. One of the rolls was a different fish than ordered, and the one roll that was correct had tuna that looked, smelled, and tasted bad. It was a good run, Nu Sushi, but you can bet I won't be risking another bad experience here.

Love this place! This is my go-to spot for Japanese food in the area. There are other choices at a similar price point but they don't measure up to Nu Sushi. I usually order their sashimi and it is always fresh. The staff is friendly and accommodating too.

When I'm ready for a hearty but light meal I go to Nu Sushi. I've tried many bento boxes and they all taste great. I love the brown sauce used on the shrimp teriyaki. The food is always fresh and tasty. I place my order thru Seamless Web and walk over to the restaurant - my food is ready and waiting and I'm greeted by name and with a smile. Great customer service!

Nu Sushi has excellent food. I order out for delivery and they are always quick to get my food to me. Portions are also much bigger than other sushi places

Sushi is always fresh, nice big pieces. Don't usually write reviews for anything, but Nu sushi deserves a big mention. I've been ordering from them roughly once a week for the last three months. Always consistent, delivery time is always spot on! Best value and tasty sushi in FiDi

This restaurant is excellent. Great food, delivered as promised, and good value. I highly recommend Nu Sushi to anyone working late and wanting something substantive, healthy, and reliable.

Consistent, Solid, Fresh. What else do you want? Also good for non-sushi Japanese as well. The Udon Broth is very good as is the Pepper Tuna and Roast Pork. Portions are the right size- not too big. One of our consistent, go-to, lunch places for sushi rolls / Japanese having tried a lot of others around FiDi. For reference, we are not sushi novices and have enjoyed the omikase (and super omikase) at Kanoyama, Sushi Seki, Ushiwakamaru and others. On a side note, delivery has always been fast and not a problem for us.

Solid sushi, prices are good for lunch. Better off with delivery than pick-up. It's always a mad-house between 12 and 2 p.m. and it takes forever to get your food, even when it's ready.

I almost never, ever write a bad review online. But the shrimp tempura was rubbery, stale and tough. Which made me question the quality of the sushi. So I ended up tossing the rest of my meal. Note that I am very generous with what I find acceptable from my sushi and tempura. I will say that the shumai was delicious and the soda was cold. So there was that.

My New Roll (tuna, avocado, eel) was outstanding. Great quality fish and avocado. My mouth waters just at the memory of eating it last night. Likewise, my piece of yellowtail sushi was out of this world - a perfect, delicious, huge slab of fish with just a hint of wasabi over the rice. Mmmmmm. The California Roll was nothing special, although it was quite sizeable. And the best part - it arrived in less than 20 minutes! We're about half a mile from the restaurant.

The food was fine. I didn't like that they ignored request re: sushi (just to chop something, nothing that would have cost extra) and didnt bother to call.
