Ollie's To Go

The food at Ollies is always great. The chicken dishes are made with clean white meat and they give a very nice amount for the lunch specials

We've ordered from Ollie's for years and the food is usually what it is...acceptable Americanized Chinese food. But twice now in four months, we've had serious intestinal issues after ordering from them. I don't think you get to give someone food poisoning twice without raising serious health and sanitation flags. Ollie's is off of our list.

Oh Ollies! Sometimes you are so good and times like last night you are so bad. Food had no flavor. We always order the string beans spicy and not only were they not spicy they were watery and and burned. The lo mein tasted like plain noodles. Such disappointment. But not always. My neighbor ordered last night too and his Lo mein was pretty good. You figure.

Ollie's is consistently good. Unlike other Chinese fast-food establishments in the UWS, Ollie's uses quality ingredients and always tastes fresh. Delivery is super speedy, too! The lunch deal is amazing, and I love love love their hot and sour soup.

I will never order from this place again. On Friday evening, although I had met the $8 minimum required, someone from Ollie's called and insisted that I had to order an additional $2 and that I had to pay in cash. I tried to reason with them but to no avail. I asked to cancel the order but they told me that cancelations had to go through seamless. So I gave in, ordered a spring roll and asked if I could pay in coins because I literally had no cash. The lady told me that it was fine and remanded me that I had to pay $2.12, tax included. When the delivery man arrived, I first signed the receipt for the $8 order and then gave him the $2.12 in coins (mostly quarters). He began to protest because I included a few pennies (and I mean very few). He became aggressive and I had to close my door because he scared me. He proceeded to insult me and curse at me through the door. He refused to leave at first and finally when he realized that I was not going to open the door again, he left. I could hear him still cursing as he went down the stairs. The $2 cash fraud is bad enough but the threatening delivery man is unacceptable. Never again.

Wonton soup is good but they never give you noodles. BBQ ribs are not as greasy as other places in the neighborhood but are a little drier. The Egg Rolls are awful ! and taste metallic like. Can't believe a big chain like Ollie's cant even make a decent Egg Roll !

Incredibly oily and the order was wrong. When I called to ask for the meal I ordered, Ollie's told me that would first need to send out a delivery person to inspect the order and then they would re-make it for me. Poor customer service.

Ollie's is a kind of overpriced for the amount you get, but the food is decent. I still think they have the best BBQ Spare Ribs (They actually taste BBQ'ed, and don't have all that sauce. But they are very oily). Chicken and Broccoli is good too.

Everything is done from scratch, if you go there in person you'll often see them sitting in the front trimming green beans or something (I'm sure to give them a change of pace from the back). Super clean, wide range of options and very delicious. Delivery is very fast as well.

We order from here all the time. Noodle soups hit the spot and the Cantonese style BBQ really satisfies the cravings for that food and its fast. Not the best ever, but its getting five stars for the combination of price, speed and "better than expected from the upper west side" chinese food.

where's my food? Called after an hour and a half and they claimed that they never got a confirmation so they never prepared or delivered the food...Unfortunately, this was not the case - the order was confirmed and paid for. So now we wait for our credit card refund and no food. Don't order on a busy night!

Hey - I love their food, especially the Noodle Soups & Lunch Rice Plates. The soy chicken especially - has the flavor of roast duck, without the fattiness. My deliveries always come early or on time. No complaints, no worries.
