OM Indian Restaurant

To say that OM Indian Restaurant was a disappointment would be an understatement. My wife and I always saw the place packed when passing by, so we decided to give it a try. Our order took 90 min to get in (1 hour and 30 min), way beyond the upper bound for delivery indicated in the confirmation email. I had called after waiting 80 min to inquire about the status of my order, and was told it was on its way before being promptly hung up on without even an apology. If only the food was worth the wait... Far from being the case, the food was heavy and oily, and my "mild" dish was spicy while my wife's "spicy" dish was mild. Definitely not a place I will order from again.

Good flavor but very hot for having selected "mild" spice level with my meal. My husband loves hot food and usually is un-phased by spice but he couldn't finish his "medium" food. Delivery within expected window and Om special was a good deal for all the food you get.

Pretty damn good Indian food .... Trust me I am Indian ! Only thing sucky about this place is the delivery time (40 to 60mins)

my order was placed one hour and 40 minutes ago. when calling the restaurant the first time to politely ask for the status, the restaurant hung up the phone on us. 20 minutes later, the "gentleman" barked into the phone--without even asking for our names/order--that "all orders have left" and promptly hung up, again. The food is good quality but in no way does the horrid customer service even remotely warrant repeat ordering. I'd have to be out of my mind--or eager for Indian food with no decent alternatives open--to even consider reordering from this restaurant. HORRIBLE

Decided to try this for the first time, since the reviews were good, and the prices were lower than typical. It was one of the weakest Indian meals I've had in a few years. I'm a lover of Chicken Tandoori, and theirs was very, very dry. Basmati rice was also very fry in one container, but more moist in another. Allo Paratha was extremely thin, with thin stuffing. I'd asked for a little dhal, for the rice, but it didn't come. (To be fair, it's possible they don't serve dahl.) For an extra buck or two, I'll avoid this restaurant in the future and stick with ones that don't disappoint.

My husband and I love this place. He's not big into Indian, but their Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken are delicious! The samosas are great too.

My fiance and I have the combo dinners delivered from here at least once every week or two and have never had a bad dish or slow service AND we are all the way on the edge of the delivery zone. We have tried most of the other Indian delivery options on the UES and this is the best in terms of flavorful food and price.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before ordering...and the tales of the ridiculously long delivery time are true. It's been 90 minutes and no food. The restaurant put me on hold, then told me it's already left and to bear with them. Seriously, avoid this place completely for delivery.

Our order came 1.5 hr late, without apology, but worse, was missing items, ice cold (had to reheat in microwave) and barely edible. This may be the worst Indian food I have had in a decade living in NYC, and as an Indian, I consider myself to be a decent judge of quality Indian food. Avoid this place at all costs.

Best Indian restaurant on UES and probably the city. Lots of care taken to ensure the flavors and spices in the simple dishes combine beautifully. The appetizers are creative and the naan bread is delicious. Keep it up!

Hands down the best Indian food that I've found on the Upper East Side! Although it's not completely "authentic", it satisfies my Indian cravings, has pretty quick delivery, and is a great value for the amount of food you get (the leftovers were great too!).
