Oriental Cafe (East Side)

I had high hopes initially, of which this place fell shorter than Danny Devito at a mini bar. To sum it up: They packaged sushi with hot food. Sweaty fish?? What is this, amateur hour? The wonton soup was so salty I almost took my pulse after I took a bite- and I'm 26. The 'healthy diet' steamed vegetables were doused in sauce and stir fried upon opening them. You really struck out, oriental cafe. So many food items on one menu can make even the vastest of oriental establishments in poor taste. Just sayin'

Ordered chicken wings. Got chicken fingers..? (They're nuggets really). Standard Chinese takeout. Good score bc they showed up in 17 mins.

I just emailed seamless care about this order- I was excited because this place has a pretty high rating but my vegetable dumplings smelled and tasted bad and the mixed vegetables were basically mushy broccoli in some kind of gel sauce. Won't repeat.

It amazes me that this place has so many 5 star reviews. Placed an order earlier tonight, and was quoted a delivery time of 30-45 minutes. After my food hadn't arrived by the 1 hour mark, I called the restaurant, when I was told the food was "out for delivery" and that they were very busy. An hour and a half goes by..still no food. Called once again and was told that because my apartment is far away from the restaurant, it was taking long (not my problem). At this point, I called Seamless Support, and we together called the restaurant, where we were told the food should be there shortly. Finally, the food arrives after an hour and 50 minutes (already after 10pm on a Sunday)...and the delivery guy tells me that they delivered my food to the wrong address, and had to remake my order at the restaurant. Had they shared this information, I would've been more forgiving, but they blatantly lied on the phone to myself and Seamless Support. To top it off, the food was cold. The only good part of this experience was the honest delivery guy.

AWFUL. Delivery took almost 2 hours, When I called and the delivery was already an hour and a half late, they said the delivery person had already left. Didn't know it takes over 30 minutes to go 15 blocks. The food was bad as well. General Tsos Chicken tasted like they put Buffalo Wings Sauce on it. I've never tasted anything like this before, and hope I never do. Don't understand how they have the rating they do on Seamless, let alone how they remain open in this city.

REALLY good Chinese food, and really cheap. I can't speak to its authenticity, but it's tasty. My boyfriend gives it props for not charging extra for brown rice. Even during the discount period, food arrived well within the time limit (which can be a problem when they get swamped with discount orders). I got an obscene amount of good food for my money. The only thing I didn't care for was the Three Flavor Dumplings, but I think that might just be more of a matter of personal taste - the filling was very good, but the wrappers were a little thick. I love their crab rangoon and pork fried rice though. Also, they're nice if you call them.

Delivery never came. Had to call the restaurant twice and actually refuse the order after 1h and 20 min wait. The person on the phone hung up on me. Terrible.

Negatives: Slow delivery; no utensils, napkins or fortune cookies delivered "shrimp dimsum" were about 1.5-2 centemeters^2 in volume and may have been microwaved. It was equivalent to frozen supermarket Shumai 20 packs. Positives: Garlic Chicken was a good portion and well made. Price was reasonable.

We've never had such a bad Chinese food delivery! It took well over an hour for our food to arrive. Wontons in the soup were so hard we couldn't bite them. The chicken and shrimp with eggplant had no shrimp, was drowning in oil (I requested "light oil") and the sauce was so congealed it was in clumps.

fried rice was hard and obviously unfresh. chicken wings were good veggies were bland and so was the chicken dish we ordered. Not sure how this place has a 5 star rating?!?!?!

pretty solid and reasonably priced.. worst delivery experience was when they forgot hoison sauce for my dumplings, and i've ordered a lot here.
