Why can't the Chinese places in this neighborhood be better? It's a mystery. Our Place just moved to a fancy new location and did an expensive renovation. It looks really enticing. But the food is just so-so! How hard could it be to put some of the renovation money into paying a better chef?? So the details: PRETTY GOOD LOW-MEIN, SUB-PAR DUMPLINGS, P GOOD SHRIMP IN PAPER app., and P GOOD SWEET AND SOUR PORK. I ordered "American style" since this seems to be their strength. Overall, if you stay away from the dumplings, it's okay. But no better than that. Oh, wonton soup was also mediocre. UPDATE: JUST HAD DIM SUM HERE ON SATURDAY AND IT WAS AMAZING!!! EITHER THEY HAVE A NEW CHEF OR IT'S A TOTALLY DIFFERENT MENU. WILL GIVE DELIVERY ANOTHER TRY.

What Happened to Our Place??!! Our Place used to be the best Chinese food on the UES when it was on 3rd Avenue. Maybe they changed ownership when they moved to 79th, but the change has not been for the better. The food is now mediocre and the service is even worse. I decided to give them a second chance, even though my first experience with the new place (a slightly burnt chow mein) was poor. I have now been waiting 1.5h for an order that still hasn't arrived. I will not be patronizing Our Place in the future.

For some reason i thought this place closed? anyway - was excited when i saw it on seamlessweb. i ordered the slippery chicken. My thinking was that you can't call something "slippery chicken" and not have it be awesome. it was AWESOME. i'm psyched to order it again. i got the fried dumplings, also very good. delivery was fast and warm. the chicken was all good white meat which is a great option for those who require white meat only. our place is among the better asian options in my neighborhood, i would not hesitate to recommend our place to my friends.

Since it has reopened, the quality of food at Our Place has gotten a lot fresher.

Easily the best Chinese delivery option in Midtown. They actually make their shumai themselves, it's not that cheap frozen stuff, which is enough to make me love them. Everything else that we've had has been great. This is the only place we order from now.

My favorite place for delivery Chinese food. The Hunan Style Pork with Leek is great, if a little greasy. Spring rolls are small, try the other apps instead.

Not sure why there are so many 5-star reviews here - ordered the other night and thought it was fine, but totally undifferentiated from any other Chinese takeout place.

I am not a fan of this place. The food quality seems cheap- Ordered vegetable roll and got a shrimp roll. The sesame chicken is tiny pieces of chicken fried and seasoned... l am not a fan of eating straggley pieces of chicken! Will not be ordering from here ever again.

Not the same since they moved. The food is terrible. The dim sum was cheap, frozen/packaged garbage that they couldn't even reheat without burning into a inedible mess. I can't think of a single positive thing to say after my last order, but after years of loving this place, I will never order again.

The one and only time we ordered from this place it took over an hour for our food to arrive. Some of the food was no longer hot. There was nothing extraordinary about the food that they should have 5 stars. Makes me very suspicious. Either, people in this neighborhood have really bad taste or the reviews are being tampered with. Buyer beware!

I ordered Shrimp Lomein and recieved Chicken Lomein. Mistake or not, its something I paid for, but not worth the trouble of having them send out the right order 45 min later. The Sesame chicken was terrible. Not sure how anyone rates this as a good dish. Firstly, you cant even tell its chicken. Its long thing pieces of something. Kind of reminds me of calamari, and fried works. Not appetizing, and a total waste of money. I figured the pork dumplings would be a no brainer, but again I'm disappointed. I have never had bad pork dumplings. These sucked! The meat had a weird flavor, very dense and not flavorful. Scratch this place off your list

Have tried several Chinese food places on UES and this one has by far the best chicken and broccoli. Really fast delivery too. Also gives you 3 fortune cookies for one dinner...good if you don't like your first fortune.

This is your standard American Chinese food. The portions are large and filling. The sesame chicken is excellent and is always crispy and flavorful. The chicken soong is also excellent, but they never include enough lettuce wraps. Even if your order extra lettuce - you are lucky if you get two pieces of lettuce. Most of the soups I have tried are good too especially the tofu and spinach soup. It is annoying that they never include napkins or plastic forks, but it seems a lot of restaurants are leaving these out lately.

I wish I read the review about the Sesame Chicken. Absolutely awful and the delivery guy had a horrible attitude! I wish I could get my tip back!
