Picket Fence

i only have one good thing to say about this restaurant, and that is, the staff is very nice. other than that, ordering take-out from picket fence was a mistake that i plan to not make again. usually when i order french fries to go, by the time i get home they're soggy and limp, but i can pop them in the oven for 5 minutes and they freshen up. the sweet potato from picket fence were just as soggy after i re-heated them as they were when i first got them home. i don't know what they put in these fries- but i can't seem to get them crunchy. also, i ordered a slice of cheesecake for dessert with marinated strawberries and was extremely disappointed. there were zero strawberries on the slice. the crust is completely made of walnuts, which was not stated on the menu, and i'm deathly allergic to nuts. sad to see almost ten dollars worth of cheesecake go straight into the garbage. definitely won't be ordering from them again. if anyone from picket fence is reading this, you should probably add allergen/nutrition information to your menu like the rest of the world does- especially for things many people are allergic to (like nuts).

Delivery took 50 minutes. Steak and eggs came with no eggs and omelet was very greasy as it was deep fried. Very disappointing. I used to like this place.

Before the Seamless era, I ordered online and didn't have a good experience. I just ordered last Friday and it was so much better. Fast delivery to my place in Kensington and the food was hot. The mac and cheese is phenomimal. The fried chicken was a little burnt in the bottom but was otherwise cripsy and well-seasoned. I hope they keep it up because it's great just to have options in my neighborhood.

This is definitely my new favorite place to order from. It's such a delightful edition to the crappy options we've been stuck with in this neighborhood. I really love the grilled chicken wrap, buttermilk fried chicken, green beans, mac & cheese and the burger with sweet potato fries. I haven't been disappointed yet. Keep up the good work!

pretty solid. nice options and very glad they're delivering to my end of Kensington, so I forgive that most things are lukewarm by the time they get to me. my favorite is that apple crumble dessert. all in all, solid menu choices, well done

Yes, the food IS better when you sit down -- but what meal isn't? In any case the delivery has always been prompt despite what others have said, and I'll take them and their $10 minimum over horrible Thai or Japanese or Chinese any day. Lotus Thai for example has a ridiculous minimum/fee for how bad their food is (delivery or otherwise). Just sayin' folks we do not live in the Park Slope or Ft Greene areas. Be realistic. One of the better options available.

I ordered some food for delivery. It was a big order with a 20% tip, which I think is pretty fair. They said they would deliver it in 3-45 minutes, which didn't happen. I called them in 45 minutes to check on it, they said my food was on its way. I was waiting for 20 minutes more and my food didn't come, so I called them again, and they said that they lost my order, which proves that they lied about my food being out. They didn't offer any discount and asked me if I still want my delivery in 30 minutes! More than one and a half hour delivery with me calling them? No way I will ever order from them again.

food is pretty mediocre, delivery is sometimes quick but sometimes well over an hour. nobody ever answers the phone when trying to check up on an order. definitely expect much better food for the price.

The food is good but the delivery service sucks. This is my first time ordering delivery from them and I've been waiting for my food for over an hour and no one is answering the phone. Looks like I may have to walk over to see what's going on, which defeats the purpose of delivery.

Service is usually fine. The food is good but not great and the menu seems static. Had a cockroach crawl across my table once when I was there a few years back. They were cool about it and handled it well. I'm sure A LOT of restaurants have roaches somewhere. I think it's just a reality in NYC. Delivery service is good too. Food comes on time and still hot. Can't remember any problems with my orders either.

Took about an hour and ten minutes to arrive, food was not as hot as I would've liked it to be. Didn't get my coke as ordered. Nevertheless, their Gouda mac and cheese is a revelation. Their burgers are worth the money, and I expect to be ordering again from here soon--maybe just not during on a Saturday night.

Wouldn't order from here ever again, placed my order 40mins later get a call saying my food is down stairs (having order from alot of stores from seamless web this the first time I was ask to come downstairs to pick up my food usually the bring it to my door), when to pick up my food and no one is there so I looked around for 4mins tried to call the guy back no answer then get a called from the store saying that the guy was there and was ringing by bell for 15mins..... and if I wanted my food I'll have to come and pick it up. So I paid $32 for food that I never received one advice to anyone thinking of ordering from here STAY AWAY.
