Pie by the Pound (4th Ave)

I'm a veteran celiac of almost two decades - live within walking distance of two GF pizza places and still order almost exclusively from Pie! It's some of the best GF pizza I've ever had. Fast delivery too!

Delivered two pies. One was a completely incorrect order, with tomatoes and mozzarella, which the delivery guy insisted for 5 minutes was a chicken pie until he realized there wasn't a single piece of chicken anywhere in that box. The second was supposed to be a gluten-free cheese pizza. Restaurant didn't know if what had been made for me was gluten-free. Are you kidding me?

The pizza is really tasty. A nice, thin crust with fresh ingredients. They also cater to my lactose intelorance and I've never once had a pie arrive differently than ordered (i.e. with cheese). Normally, I am willing to accept the excessive price because it tastes so good, but in addition, the delivery is incredibly slow. For multiple purchases, I've had to call after the expected 40 minutes to see where my pizza is, only to find out that it hasn't even left the restaurant yet!! Very frustrating

Love their pizza. Love the small chocolate chip cookies. Not as good a value perhaps as some other pizza places as the thin crust is less filling than a traditional pie, but my favorite place to order.

I was excited by the fact that Pie by the Pound offered gluten-free pizza, since very few pizza joints cater to this particular dietary restriction. However, when the pizza arrived, within a half hour after ordering, was cold. Not even lukewarm. I had to put it into the oven for an additional 20 minutes in order to eat it. The toppings were good - prociutto and arugula - but the dough was flat and chewy and not much bite to it. And $20 for a small pizza, even with gluten-free dough - is still a lot to pay.

I love their fresh mozzarella pie! Delivery can be slow during busy times, but the food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. I'm a more conservative eater, but friends and my husband tell me that some of Pie's more unusual combinations (like the brunch pie) are good too!

Terrible pie. Can't believe they get away with passing this off in NYC. Don't order from here you will be disappointed. If you're going to order there are so many other places in the area to choose from...nino's, stomboli's, etc. Dont be fooled by the unique name, FROZEN PIZZA IS BETTER

I have been gluten free for over 10 years- I order from this place on a weekly basis and have never gotten sick. I've had GF pizza all over the city- this is BY FAR the best and closest thing to real pizza I've ever had. The delivery is fast (I live pretty far and the pizza always arives hot), the owner is very nice, and if you get a chance to go in- they have an amazing selection of GF beer and hard to find cider. I'm shocked to read the negative reviews and have nothing but great things to say about this place.

the delivery man was nice. but the gluten free pizza was really small and quite pricey plus it didn't taste very good. they get 3 stars because they offer gluten free pizza and deliver. I avoid gluten for diet purpose (not digestion issues ) and in this case i would rather have the carb loaded pizza.

My favorite delivery pizza because it doesn't feel heavy or greasy. I particularly like getting the marinara pizza (no cheese) with chicken & veggies for a guilt free but delicious pizza night!

Decent Pizza. Very thin crust. I ordered a large and they gave me two small / thin slabs of pizza. Not worth the money.
