The food was not very good. The Parmesean chicken was hard..i could barely cut it and chew it. Seems like it wasn't thawn properly and then cooked. The linguine was also okay in the white sauce, but why all the black pepper to taste.

This was one of the worst experiences ever. The estimated time was 60-75 minutes. After 80 minutes I called to check on the status and they asked me to wait, but just left the phone off the hook, did not put me on hold. So I could hear the workers just talking and making jokes with each other instead of helping me out. After 10 minutes of just listening to them do nothing, I hung up. I called back 10 minutes later and another person told me to give him my number and that the delivery driver had left 30 minutes ago. 15 minutes later still no food, I called back again. The worker this time told me that the delivery guy had returned and said he dropped off the food, which NEVER happened! No other restaurant has ever had any issues like this. They were unhelpful and rude on the phone. DO NOT order from this place.

So so so so so good. Pines of Florence is a bit pricier than most other Italian delivery options but the quality of the food is more than worth the extra bucks. This is real quality Italian food, not your average assembly line Italian takeout. The delivery time is also a bit more than usual, but again, the food is more than worth the wait. I had both the meat and veggie lasagne and both are absolutely delicious + comes with complimentary bread and butter - really good bread too! Just ordered again and am very excited for it to get here...

Have always opted for Pines of Florence when I can't cook for myself. Solid Italian favorites although quality has dipped a bit. I would not recommend the garlic bread, the antipasto, the salads -- they are neither authentic nor of good quality. The linguini pescatore appears to be one of the better dishes. The veal romana suffers the same problem as the antipasto -- you're just not quite sure what kind of "ham" you're having. I hope, possibly despite the economic times, the restaurant returns to its former quality self.

I ordered the veal parmigiana. I liked the sauce and the cheese, but the meat was bad quality, not so tender and not so tasty. I went for the veal parmigiana paying around 5 more bucks than for the chicken parmigiana because I wanted some red meat, but was disappointed. I should have gone to Bucca di Peppo, where the veal parmigiana never fails me! On the other side, the delivery was much faster than stated on the website, the food arrived hot, and it was a pretty big portion, plus another pot full of spaghetti with tomato sauce, all included in the same price. So if you are really hungry, it can work. I will give Pines of Florence another chance but will try something else, see how it goes.

the worst italian I've ever ordered. Seriously. Even the plain red sauce was bad.

Have had some good food from here, but ordered the spinach manicotti and 1) I don't know where the spinach was, and 2) there were only two manicotti's buried under a lot of sauce. Disappointing showing.

Bland, over-cheesed, congealed, tasted like it came out of a cafeteria. I've heard good things about this place so maybe it was just an off night, but man, I'm not trying again for a long time.

I ordered two Caesar salads and veal osso buco. Both salads were very watery and did not include enough dressing (which was ordered mixed in but came on the side). The salad also says it comes with anchovies and neither included them. I don't know what I was expecting ordering osso buco as take out but the shank was not braised long enough - it was very tough and had more gristle than meat. The sauce it came with was delicious, however.

We ordered the Fried Fritto Misto and the Chicken Parmagiana Entrée. The fritto misto was excellent. The chicken parmagiana was good. I will definitely order from this restaurant again.

I've ordered from here twice now. The first time, it was fantastic, I loved every item I ordered. The second time, they didn't include the pasta with my chicken piccatta, so I was pretty annoyed. Plus, the other food wasn't as good as the first time. I'm not sure if I will order again due to the downward trend on quality.

Not great, lasagna was runny, did not have much consistency. Garlic bread was too soggy and buttery.

The food here continues to be absolutely outstanding. There's no better food offered in the downtown DC area on Seamless Web. Delicious! And do yourself a favor, tack on a few extra hours on the treadmill and order a cannoli.... rich, creamy, flaky, heavenly.

This place was terrible. It took a long time to deliver the food. When it eventually got here, it was bland and tasted like it was from a prepackaged frozen dinner. This is definitely not homemade, and I don't understand how this place's rating is so high on here.
