Potluck Asian Restaurant

sashimi deluxe was fine in terms of freshness, but the extremely bland fish offerings and tiny portions made me feel like I was overpaying- got variety but all of it bland. however, the pad thai was excellent, a nice mix of well cooked rice noodles, subtle heat, a big lime wedge for squeezing, topped with bean sprouts and crushed peanuts. hot and sour soup was ok but not as good as Vanessa's dumplings, and the wonton soup was good but slightly overcooked. for Americanized Asian food, it suffices, but I'd probably go with my regular cheaper place in the future.

The greatest Sushi in NYC - if not the world - not to mention incredible other Asian dishes. Great dining in too with the complementary wine & sake!

When my food arrived the delivery person yelled at me about how far away my office was from the restaurant. Ok sir, you don't ever have to worry about me ordering from your restaurant again. And yes, I had tipped so that wasn't the problem. The food was adequate, but definitely not good enough to take it with a heaping side order of verbal abuse.

Nothing negative to say about Potluck, and everything is positive. At $10 for 3 rolls, you simply can't go wrong. Sushi is fresh enough and tasty enough, no surprises. Delivery is always quick.

Lightening fast delivery, fresh delicious food, even accommodated specific alterations. I'm so happy to have finally found my go-to sushi restaurant. Bento boxes have more food than I know what to do with. I exchanged a tuna roll for the California roll and the tuna was high quality and fresh. I don't normally like shumai but it was perfectly steamed and the sauce it sits in was great. Comes with tons of edamame. The only non-winner was the chicken teriyaki - a little on the dry side. All around a great experience. Will definitely order again.

Pricing is very standard for the type of restaurant. I ordered a couple sushi rolls and neither were really extraordinary. The spicy tuna was on the mushy side, but very flavorful. The tempora flakes that were ordered with the rolls were soft and not very crispy. Overall the rolls had good flavor, they just weren't as good as they could have been. On a positive note: Delivery is very quick.

This is my favorite delivery sushi place, but great to dine in as well! One of those places that is affordable and really fresh/delicious. The prices make you believe it's a crappy hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but it is extremely clean inside and the people are friendly. Woohoo, Potluck!

DO NOT order from this place i ordered 2 items on the menu (one beef app and one soup) they messed up the soup order. i called and the EXTREMELY rude delivery guy came back with the correct soup looking very angry that he had to return when his restaurant made the mistake in the first place and then DEMANDED the other (wrong) soup back - which i had already thrown in the trash!! who does that!?!?! NEVER order from here again

Their delivery time is decent, but the food literally tastes like watered-down crap. Out office ordered sushi (terrible) and one of the Thai lunch options (only slightly less terrible) and grumbled about it for the rest of the day. GROSS.

delicious spicy tuna and shrimp tempura. the seaweed was a tiny bit too chewy for my taste but i'm paranoid about choking so do with that what you will. but five stars for incredible fast delivery-- at my door 14 minutes after the confirmation email. and really nice delivery guy.

I love Pot Luck! Always friendly delivery, and fast. General Tso w/white meat is delicious (I would've ordered white meat anyway). They made an error and sent beef satay instead of beef gyoza - when I called, the woman was super friendly & said they'll send an order right over. I had it in less than 15 mins, and the delivery guy didn't ask for the other dish back. (Not that they should, but this has happened to me before & it's so tacky - so I'm glad they didn't.) Gyoza was yummy. Didn't order sushi on this visit but I have in the past & it's always good. So glad they're in my neighborhood!

This was one of the worst meals I have ever eaten. My first time ordering from here and it will be my last. I ordered the "white meat sesame chicken". It's almost impossible to describe. The chicken was like chewing a rubber band, you just keep chewing and chewing until the meat would not break down and you had to spit it out! Gross. I didn't know it was possible for chicken to have this kind of texture.
