Pound & Pence

Every single time I have ordered from Pound & Pence I have never been disappointed. The food is amazing and so is the setup. The serving sizes are incredible too. I will continue to order from this spot.

We love pound and pence. We order the fish and chips once a week. My only complaint is they forget the malt vinegar 50% of the time. Even when you specify malt vinegar in the special comments.

1 hour for delivery when estimate was 30-45-not the worst offense but the food was barely warm calamari was supposed to have 2 sauces--came with 1 and it was not enough chicken fingers also did not have enough sauce for dipping--mustard sauce ran out after 2.5 of the 5 pieces :(

Made a mistake relying on the 5 star rating and ordering from seamless without seeing the actual paper menu. I didn't realize this was an irish pub and would have never ordered seafood from here. My co-worker and I ordered the herb crusted cod with asparagus in a caper butter sauce. Sounded delish. What a mistake! The cod was not fresh, very fishy. It was thrown into a bowl full of the "butter sauce" along with asparagus, string beans, carrots, & yes...celery! Pretty much crumbled fish stew. Eww. So disapointing!

Ordered the Merchant Burger which arrived cold because the delivery person did not read the explicit directions I took the time to type in. Mozzarella instead of cheddar, well done instead of rare, no barbecue sauce and dead cottage fries. Never again.

The burger is giant!!! Literally an inch wider than the bun. The burger was cooked just right (one medium and one medium rare). The bacon was not too greasy or overcooked. The bbq sauce was good and caramelized onions added a nice touch of sweetness. The patty itself felt a little under seasoned and the fries were definitely under seasoned but some ppl like it like that. I personally like more salt than most ppl. Overall good burger but not great, would like to try other items on the menu. Delivery was really fast, under 20 mins.

Usually a solid choice for dinner with Quick delivery and no problems altering menu choices. Would recommend the Tuna sandwich w/ wasabi mayo. Would not recommend the herb crusted tilapia (too much sauce, and not much flavor - didnt think it was prepared very good)

Food took a long time and was delivered cold and something was left out of my order. Soup of the day was over 5 bucks and was just o.k. Sandwich tasted fine but again, was cold.

no star at all! i ordered a lobster club (not thru seamlessweb), and it was so disappointing! they gave me immitation "lobster" crap, not actual lobster meat. such a rip-off! if you want a real lobster club, order from merchant cafe on rector st/ washington st instead.

Food arrived piping hot, cooked to my order & very tasty. I just had the steak & mussels and it was just as good or better than dining at an upscale restaurant. I have never ordered a bad dish from here & a great value when they offer 30% off.
