Ray's Super Deli

I'm not saying I would avoid this restaurant since I ordered only two items but definitely avoid these. I was craving chicken soup and grilled cheese and Ray's was the only one I could find that offered both. The grilled cheese was OK but boring. The chicken soup was a whole other story. After smelling it I was afraid to taste it but curious as to what was in it. I sipped it - because they neglected to send me any cutlery so that was all I could do - and immediately covered it back up and threw the whole thing in the trash. It was horrible and the chicken was a funny color pink. at least I think it was chicken.

This place confirmed delivery time for 15-30 minutes and took an hour and 10 minutes to come. Their phone doesn't work and they hung up on me when I was very polite, just asking if my food had left yet. Then the guy said it was on the way without even asking any info of my order and the food wasn't hot even though I live only 0.3 miles away.

I have had enough of this place. You put in an order and something is ALWAYS missing. I ordered a chicken club with cheese and the cheese is missing. I ordered a combo sandwich with a seltzer water and the water is missing. I ordered a sandwich with mayo and the mayo is missing. It's cheap to order from here but you get what you pay for and that's cheap service.

they didnt have what i needed and didn't have anything close to replace it with and it is not the first time that happens. they have great food when they have it but service and quantity bring this place down.

The food is good for the price. But for me, the best part of Ray's Super Deli is how fast they are. My most recent order I got in 12 minutes. From the moment clicked the submit order button to the time my food arrived it was 12 minutes. True I placed an order after the late lunch crowd would, but still, 12 minutes.

ZERO stars. these people were so incredibly rude over the phone I could not believe it. I have never written a review, positive or negative, in my life, and this was so atrocious that I couldn't refrain. They do not deserve your business.

Half Chicken and Tostones is excellent. The chicken was flavorful and not dry. The tostones had just the right amount of salt. Delivered within 15 min and hot. So good.

If I could give zero stars I would. i was thrilled to find a place that served Dominican food, but (1) they are almost always out of everything they list on their menu other than the cold sandwiches, which i can get anywhere and (2) the mondongo, which is lovely when made correctly was so stinky as to be inedible, I think because they'd undercooked the tripe. (You have to boil for a long time and change the water frequently for the smell to go away.) Cerdo was greasy and tasteless, tho carne guisada was fair.

This place has been my go-to sandwich spot since moving to the neighborhood. Good size sandwich, fresh ingredients, a highly recommended deli experience.
