Rosie’s Cafe & Catering is a family owned and operated business, founded in 2005 by Rose “Rosie” Hale.

Rosie’s experience in food service is virtually unmatched in Chicago. Since 1988, she has worked as either a manager or regional supervisor for Hilton Hotels, O’Hare International Airport, Mrs. Fields Cookies, Bruegger’s Bagels, Boudin Bakery, Alonti Deli, and Rebecca’s Cafe.

Anyone who has ever worked in food service knows that it is one of the toughest and most competitive industries around. So why would Rosie want to open a cafe & catering establishment after working so many years in the industry?

“Because I LOVE people and one of the best ways to make people happy is with great food!” exclaims Rosie. “Sure, it is hard work, but somebody’s gotta do it! And when you love what you do, it doesn’t seem like work. My employees, business partners, and especially my clients and cafe patrons make it all worthwhile.”

Although Rosie was a star employee in the aforementioned companies, having her own place instills a greater sense of pride. Rosie chimes in, “This business not only carries my name, but it carries my reputation, which I take very seriously. Everyday, I make darn sure EVERY DETAIL is covered. If me or my crew miss something, you can bet your bottom dollar that I work hard to reconcile it! The buck starts and stops right here.”

Rounding out the team is a loyal staff and the respective strengths and contributions of Rosie’s sons/business partners. Brian brings his strengths in management, Mitchell Jr. in finance, and Jason in marketing.
