Sahara's Turkish Cuisine

Delicious!! The food was really good and the service was right on time! My new go to place for Turkish food!!

The food was just ok. It was delivered in a timely manner and the chicken was tasty, but the rice was overcooked to a mush, the tomatoes in the shepherd's salad weren't ripe, the salad dressing lacked zest and the grilled veggies were bland. There are better Turkish options available in the neighborhood.

Not only is their food DELICIOUS, but their customer service is top notch. Tonight something I ordered was inadvertently left out of the delivery and when I called, they apologized and immediately sent out another delivery person to bring the item. They even included dessert. Smart management. I will continue ordering from Sahara and will recommend them to my friends.

I have ordered from Sahara many times before and their food has been fresh and delicious, if a bit on the pricey side for Mediterranean / Middle Eastern cuisine. The portions were always appropriately sized too, but I guess that has changed. Tonight we spent $17 for four bites of swordfish and $18 for three bites of lamb and chicken, with rice and a few stalks of broccoli on the side. I called to ask why there was so little food relative to what we had gotten before and was told that they hadn't screwed up and in fact the person I was talking to had prepared the entrees himself. I'm certain that no one would the nerve to provide so little for so much if you actually were physically in their restaurant, but I wouldn't order online from here again. Sorry, Sahara!

Sahara's is literally across the street from my new apartment and thus an easy choice for a mid afternoon pick-up-pick-me-up. The menu is expansive (although a bit repetitive) so finding something appealing was no problem. The food itself is very good, flavorful, filling, and not oily as poor Mediterranean often can be. Could have used a little more pita bread, but eating hummus with a spoon was a worthwhile endeavor.

Absolutely delicious food! We tried Shepperd salad, Babaganoush and Chicken+Shish Kebab. The food is delicious and not very oily. The rice which come with Kebab is very, very tasty. ..We used to eat in another Turkish restaurant in the neighborhood, but we definitely switch to Sahara! It's also like 10% cheaper. Oh, and the delivery was really fast .(~20 min)

I accidentally placed the order for pickup instead of delivery. Forty-five minutes after placing the order, I called to inquire. They couldn't have been any nicer. I swear the guy arrived 5 minutes later and I had to insist that he accept a $4 tip! Food was fresh and delicious. Will definitely order again:)

delivery said 20-35 mins. got here in 35. bag well packed, cold stuff on bottom so it stays cold, soda outside so it doesn't make the food cold. smart. Shepherd salad okay, didn't disappoint. bread nice and crispy and generous portion. big pepper included in the entree but not too spicy. rice was sticky and very buttery, if you like that. chicken was a little bland, but good quality, just tastes a bit bland. but thats where the pepper comes in to spice things up ;)

You all, I can't go a week without ordering the small mixed appetizer plate. Everything is amazing - especially the dolmas! And these guys usually deliver to me within 10-15 minutes. Insane combo of super delish, cheap and fast!

Terrible. They lied about the delivery time. they lied that the delivery guy had left and the delivery guy even admitted this and the food was horrendous. Ketchup as mediterranean hot sauce?! What a joke. Stay away

The Doner Sandwich is to die for very fresh and filling. The Pastirmali Sigara's were also very good but could have been fried a little crisper but I will be ordering again!
