I've never had a bad meal from Salaam Bombay. Sometimes, the portions can be small in terms of the meat to curry ratio, but overall this is very good Indian food, which I have been trying to find for years.

DO NOT ORDER FROM SALAAM BOMBAY! There is better food and better service available at other restaurants. After waiting twice as long as promised for the food, management was rude and unapologetic and only offered a discount on a future order that will never ever take place.

Excellent food! Coming from London where the Indian food is amazing, we find that it's hard to find good Indian in the city. That being said, we think that Salaam Bombay is exceptional!

Delicious food. I ordered a Chicken Dosa of some sort, which was fantastic. The Tikka Masala was very good as well. After going through some of the other choices on Seamless, Salaam Bombay will be our go-to for Indian delivery in the neighborhood.

Very very oily -- its dripping with oil,, I bought chicken briyani and the order was delivered promptly and packed neatly . But the fud was oily and the chicken pieces were boneless chicken cut into huge pieces but when cut open it looks pink and then u doubt if they cooked it enough.. I would prefer the chicken to be tender and falling apart stage when in briyani. Even though the fud was extremely oily and the chicken bland the only plus point was that the rice was seasoned and had flavor , But with that much oil I doubt that the flavor was worth consuming this much oil, and I consumed majority of it cuz unfortunately I was hungry,, now if i have an heart attack today i blame salaam bombay for it :)

I order from here at least once a week as a standby Seamless dinner. Delivery is always fast, the delivery staff is great, and the food is consistent. I know it can be oily sometimes and it isn't "fancy Indian" like Tamarind, but at the very least it's leagues above Baluchi's in taste and quality.

We've only done take-out from SB, & always L O V E our meal!...and find the service helpful and kind. (I do not understand the bad reviews at all.) We order so often and have only had a couple mistakes along the way, in which they make up for as expected. Don't even need to say that last part- just trying to shed some light on bad reviews. SB is an excellent restaurant! Delish!

Delivery staff is extremely rude. Food quality is good but they do tend to mess up the order at times.

ordered a chicken biryani dish and both times it came with the package open and food spilled all over inside the bag. the second time, the delivery guy ran away! he knew he spilled my food so he gave me the bag and legit took off running down the hall! i called the restaurant for a refund and they said they couldn't and i was charged the full amount. they offered to send me another one. great thanks guys, now i can wait 2 hours for a dish and still pay full price, you just lost a customer for life. its called customer service, learn it asap

It is a bit inconsistent, but if you ask for the food to be spicier, it's generally very good. I would rate the aloo baingan, aloo gobi matar, malai kofta, and garlic naan a little bit higher - perhaps 4.5 stars. Overall, I thought all of the food was fresh, and if they could add a bit more complexity with additional spices and chili, this place could be phenomenal. As I said, there are some 4.5 star dishes and when I only order those, I love to order here. Although I was really excited when I saw dhokla on the menu, I was highly disappointed. Their dhokla is way too dense and lacking any sort of flavor direction - particularly on the chili front. I wasn't fond of the vegetable manchurian either. Just beware that the shrinkand has no saffron and no nuts. It was literally sweetened yogurt and a big disappointment.

Ordered the Gujarati thali and some appetizers. Samosas are very good, but the thali seems like reheated buffet fare for the most part for a $22 dish. Delivery was very slow and they forgot items that come with the dish. When we called to notify them, the person on the phone told us it did not come with forgotten item (which was clearly included in the menu description on seamless). Customer service is sub-par...took them about an hour and 40 minutes to get the order delivered right.

Delivery took forever. When I called to check on it, I sat on hold and then the guy was short with me. When the food finally arrived, some of it was cold.
