San Marzano Brick Oven Pizzeria

Delicious meatball pizza, and really tasty calzone! The food got here fast enough that it still tasted right out of the oven. Quite impressed.

There are great pizza places in New York and pretty crappy ones, and San Marzano is definitely one of the great ones. The crust is thin and chewy (classic Neapolitan), the ingredients fresh and delicious, and the combinations are creative without being off the wall. My favorite is the Foresta, but you really can't go wrong with any of the pizza choices.

btw for those complaining the pizza is burnt...it's not! it's brick oven pizza so it will had dark spots and a slightly charcoally taste at spots....thats the point of baking in a brick oven. if you want pizza hut go to pizza hut!

San Marzano is a solid neighborhood pizza joint. They don't serve the standard New York pies, but more like a working man's Neapolitan pizza. They don't have a huge menu but still have plenty of variety. I've tried pretty much every pizza and there's not a clunker in the bunch. Thumbs up.

Very good pizza, kind of expensive for the size but that doesnt stop me from eating here a couple times a month, very fast delivery. Been ordering out or stopping by for a slice for the past two years, still consistently tasty. for those complaining about the burnt bottom, I'm not sure what the problem is. It's supposed to be crusty and crispy as its cooked for a very short time in a very hot oven. its part of the flavor and if you dont enjoy it, stop ordering but dont complain like its not supposed to be that way.

i LOVE this place. i order the goat cheese and meatball pizza frequently. follow that with that sweeten ricotta/nutella calzone for dessert and you sleep with a smile.

Everything I ordered was delicious. I was incredulous as this place has four stars but then I see 73 reviews so I think "why not?" It was very good. My comments are really minor: I asked for dressing on the side for my salad which did not happen, andpizza was delicious but I wished the crust were crispier, and the mark-up for the dessert is a bit ridiculous. Overall, I would definitely order again. Especially the brussel sprouts. They were fantastic!

Ordered here several times. Fast delivery and the pizza is extra good. Sauce on the pizza is my favorite. Nice delivery guys too.

The pizza was stretched soo thin that the pizza slices had to be eaten with a fork. I just couldn't fold and eat a slice like a regular NYC pizza. Also the greasy toppings did not help either, the toppings made the pizza pie very SOGGY at the center. For the price I paid, i expected more. Maybe it was fluke, maybe their calzones are better but i would not be ordering again to find out.
