Saran Indian Cuisine

Very solid Indian food. If you are spice-sensitive, you definitely want to note that you want a dish "mild" in the notes field, though. Their Biryani isn't kidding around! Good selection and a number of more esoteric offerings make this a good choice.

So let me start by saying the food was generally tasty. My issue is with the service. After placing an order, and tipping 20% on my credit card, I received a call saying they will not deliver "all the way up" to the 20th floor because it will take 15 to 20 minutes to do so. It's not like I live in a walk up; my building is new and has 6 working/fast elevators. And their aversion to delivering their delivery food was not online. After waiting 40 minutes I receive a call from the delivery guy's cell phone saying he's downstairs. I head down (this takes less than a minute, honest) and he's not even there! I wait a few minutes and the food finally arrives. And it was cold. Overall the food was pretty good but this doesn't entirely count as full service delivery. If none of this would bother you ignore my review. Also ignore it if you don't live in an apartment building as they will probably deliver all the way to your front door. No promises though.

We have been looking for an Indian restaurant that is reliable, consistent and has delicious food for the longest time... needless to say, we have found all those things in Saran! We especially love the samosas, saag paneer and their paratha varieties! Highly recommended if you are looking for a satisfying Indian meal, like your mom (or friend's mom) would cook! pssst...my only "beef" is the minimum for delivery is so high..$35!

Fantastic vegetarian Indian food. Everything I've had has been good, and the Navratan Korma is as good as any restaurant's.

Theirs was the first meal in our new home when we moved into the area in September and we now order from them several times a month as their food is really good. The jackfruit curry, paneer makhani and samosa chaat, aloo tikki chaat, kachori chaat appetizer are big favorites of ours. I have visited their teeny restaurant in person as well and have to say the staff is super friendly and accommodating. If you have not tried them, I highly recommend them!
