I loved this place. Ordered from here frequently... until one day. I ordered a salad one night with my meal and saved my salad for lunch the next day. I was almost done eating my salad when my fork hit something hard... it was a SCREW!! A dirty, black screw was in my salad!!! I have never seen anything more weird, bizzare and unappealing before. Sherwood to go changed it's name from Sherwood Fine Foods for a reason, I suppose.

My order was confirmed at 6:21 PM, with a 25-40 minute delivery time estimate. It's 7:58 and I am still waiting. I called at the one-hour mark and the woman yelled at me, and told me I should have known to order an hour ahead of time because "the computer time isn't accurate." (As it happens, given my current 87 minute wait, neither is she.) She told me to plan better next time. I will! (And it's too bad. Still two stars because I like that you can buy an entire box of Honey Bunches of Oats from Sherwood. But I don't like being yelled at for asking reasonable questions either. That's what my mom is for.)

The food here wouldn't be bad (maybe even good) if it had actually arrived when expected. I was given a 20-40 min estimate, and didn't get my food until nearly 2 hours later. After about 1.5 hours I called to find out where my food was and was told it had already left, but they didn't know when it would arrive. Needless to say, when it finally showed up 20 mins later, it wasn't in the best state. My grilled cheese was soggy and congealed, and the accompanying fries equally soggy with the added bonus of being cold. The sandwich had all the right flavors, and I really think it would have been quite good IF it had actually arrived fresh, but given the state it was in and the ridiculous wait time, I won't be ordering from Sherwood again.

Generally I enjoy sherwood, but calling their chicken parm hero anything but a sloppy open faced sandwich is blasphemy.

Sherwoods serves up some solid comfort food - but servings of meat are much too small for the prices being charged. For example, I ordered a two pork chop entree and received two small pork medallions that together are less than one pork chop. Same thing with steak, absolutely tiny cut for a high entree price.

Shocked this place got so many good reviews. My food came cold - granted I live 8 blocks away - but if you can't deliver it hot in some way, you probably shouldn't deliver this "far." The food was delivered within the estimated time frame however my cheese omelet was paper thin - looked like two eggs and some Kraft singles that weren't even fully melted. Fries were ok, but cold, so they just ended up being soggy. Same with the English Muffin (cold, soggy) but it was DRENCHED in butter to the point that I had to sop up butter with a paper towel. The food is comparable to that of an amusement park cafeteria or somewhere you know it's not going to be too terrible but in no way good either.

Sherwood has standard deli fare at a decent price. Food tastes good and delivery is usually about 30 minutes. Would have gotten 5/5 except that their fries are often under cooked and they recently added sandwich "optional" toppings for standard condiments. For example, you want lettuce on your sandwich? Fork up another $.50. Really? On a $7 sandwich you're going to charge me $1 extra for lettuce and onions. No thanks.

I've ordered from Sherwood's for years. But at this point, I'm SO tired of the screwed up orders and the bad attitudes from their staff that I'm ordering less and less from them. Tonight again, they totally messed up half of my order, and when I called to let them know, I was put on hold for several minutes, then the girl got back on the phone and actually ASKED IF I WANTED THE OMELETTE MADE AGAIN! Are you KIDDING ME?

Seamless said delivery should take about 25-40 mins. I literally live two blocks away. the delivery took over an hour and 20 mins. When I called to ask where my order was, the person on the phone was the rudest person ever. To Sherwood: There are way to many other restaurants in the city for me to be bothered with ordering from you again.

I have been ordering from here for 12 years. Food is always great, very fast and very reasonably priced. Love their sherwood chicken salad with creamy balsamic and their penne vodka is awesome.
