Terrible! Food is bland, delivery was late, and the dish is not what was described in the menu. No starts for Shinju.

I've ordered from Shinju a couple of times and so far they are excellent. All of the sushi has been fresh and delicious, they are courteous on the phone, and delivery times have been good (I tend to order on busy nights so 30-40 minutes is expected). And I like that they deliver soy in little plastic tubs instead of those ridiculous ketchup-like packets that most places use. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that there's a lot on the menu I haven't tried and a sample size of two meals is too small to be certain my experience is typical. But I'll definitely order again.

My officemate orders from Shinju 3-4 times a week; it always comes quickly and with a high quality of fish. He smiles. Last night was King Crab, which he devoured. Tuesday, tuna and a harumaki. Tonight he went home early, so I'm going to try Shinju: Chilean Sea Bass and vegetable Gyoza.

Terrible food. The spicy tuna roll has a neon orange paste inside that I've never seen before. The eel looks like old eggplant. The shrimp tempura roll was cold and bland. Never ordering from here again and I have no idea how this place has a good rating.

Delivery time was decent. The spicy tuna roll flavor was great however there was a waxy texture to the tuna and sauce which was really weird. They should really be careful with the sauce because I did not finish eating it.

Two stars as delivery was quick and delivery guy was nice. Sushi was mediocre at best. Chomped down on something hard in my spicy tuna - unsure of what it was. Sushi in general wasn't great, have had much better sushi, cheaper all over the city.

Great sushi, one lost star because my soup was cold upon delivery.

I was so impressed with this restaurant! I ordered the Seafood Soba Noodles soup and it was practically perfect. The broth was a little salty but worked with the ingredients well and they gave me extra on the side. The vegetables were extremely fresh, crisp and cooked just enough. The noodles were excellently prepared - not spongey or slimey or undercooked. The seafood was abundant compared to most restaurants for this dish with multiple medium sized scallops, 3 shrimp and multiple pieces of the white fish and (albeit typical fake) crab. Overall, I was incredibly impressed and will definitely explore this menu further!

The last few times i've ordered from here, their delivery takes over an hour even though the website and their confirmation emails say 15-30 minutes! it's ridiculous! their portions have gotten smaller and the quality of the food has definitely gone down.

thumbs down - Ordered the seabass and it is COVERED in pepper. It's like they didn't use any seasonings except pepper and TONS of it. I took a picture, but you can't upload it on here. Can't even it eat - looks like rice for dinner. boo
