Skylight Diner (NY)

Skylight is great. Very fast service, large portions, great prices. My "go to" eatery.

The delivery for this diner is really inconsistent - sometimes I get the order in less than 10 mins, other times I am waiting well over an hour. They have lost orders of mine as well so order with caution. Food is always pretty good, wish the service matched!

I was beyond pleasantly surprised by how great the food was from a diner. The portions were huge and the price was right. Only complaint was that Seamless said 30 min, but it took 60. Still worth it.

This is a favorite place to eat, but the one time I ordered delivery it wasn't very hot. But I was craving tonight and couldn't go out, so ordered a turkey burger and sweet potato fries. I was worried about the fries being cold and soggy but they were piping hot and crispy, just like when I eat there. The burger was tasty, too. It's also huge. I couldn't finish either the burger or the fries. Maybe it's a hit and miss thing? But this was really tasty. Very good diner food.

This has been my favorite diner for the past year while in this area, but my last 3 deliveries have been poor. I don't know if they changed cooks or management but the quality has gone downhill, and I usually order the same thing so I can compare the changes. I gave it two more chances after the first bad experience hoping it was just a fluke, but I give up now. I ordered my eggs sunny-side up and the meal came almost cold and eggs were completely dry. Please revert to your old ways!! So sad to let this place go!

Great local diner. I'm obsessed with the special black bean chili. The salads and wraps are pretty good as well.

Took over an 75 minutes to get the food even though it was supposed to take 15 minutes. I called the diner 3 times, and each time the delivery person left "5 minutes" ago. Bullshit. To add insult to injury, I spoke on the phone with the diner 3 separate times and reminded them each time to call my cell and not to ring the doorbell. They delivered the food at 2 AM and rang the doorbell and woke up my roommates. You order from a diner late at night because you want comfort food and you want it fast. We got cold food and we got it slow. FAIL.

I NEVER received my order from Skylight Diner! They laughed every time I called to check on it and they kept saying it was on the way ... um, I live down the block. After 2 hours, I gave up. Very horrible service. Truly disappointed!

Amazing Overstuffed Sandwiches! Highly recommend the Skylight Club, Ruby Ruben,and Patty and Tuna Melts. The salads are great as well.

Classic diner food delivered all night long! Awesome. I order from them all the time - have never been disappointed. Even the cappuccino is good. The burgers are large and always cooked correctly, the balsamic salad dressing is stunning.

Chicken salad was old and the coleslaw was brown. The entire dish had a brown crusty appearance. The bell peppers were soggy and moldy. I have had mixed experiences with delivery from Skylight. This is the last time I will order from there.

Food is good but the diner has consistently gotten my orders wrong. Portobello chicken wrap doesn't have any portobello in it, other items missing.
