Sookk

I love Sookk! The shitake spring rolls are always crispy and delicious. The Yaowrat noodles are really tasty. They are a very substantial noodle and the sauce is spicy and flavourful. I have tried it with chicken and duck - I would suggest asking for the duck a little crispy.

I love Sookk and order/eat here on a very frequent basis, but you really need to get better delivery staff. I got a call saying the food was delivered and went downstairs to pick up the food, but waited five minutes before the person actually arrived. Okay. I was waiting inside the building since it was raining, but once the delivery person came, he did not move an inch from his bike, extended his arm with the delivery bag in his hand and waived it signaling that I should be the one coming out to pick it up when it was pouring outside. Okay. Then to top it all, half of my curry was spilled inside the bag. I love the food here, but I'll figure out when it's someone else who's working for the delivery orders because i don't want to be tipping for this kind of service.

I'm unfortunately forced to retract the good review I left for Sookk a couple months ago. The quality of the food here has gone down dramatically since the first several times I ordered from there. Too much grease, overcooked, soggy noodles, and inept spicing that will give you heart burn and worse. I'm so incredibly disappointed that they can't maintain a consistent food quality. I suspect they have different cooks/chefs for different nights, which explains the bipolar reviews for this restaurant. I will never order from here again.

Duck with green curry is super! The sticky rice is reallllly sticky. Love it. Not sure why they have crispy calamari on the menu (I think of it as Italian) but I keep ordering it, so it must be good. ;) I like this place a lot.

Best Thai in UWS!! really unique compared to other Thai places due to Yaowarat cuisine. Both duck dishes delicious. Speedy delivery - he was early and had bags for three other customers with him.

Delivery was super fast. The calamari was very good. The mixed seafood Pad Thai was tasty, but a little overlooked and dry. We will give it another try.

FOOD: Ordered red duck curry and Pad See Ew. Both came hot. Pad Sew Ew doesn't have a lot of meat/veggies and is too sweet. Duck curry has decent amount of duck but again, sauce is too sweet. Taste-wise, not very authentic. DELIVERY: Fast and efficient. Sturdy containers. No complains.

Food was good. Delivery time was better. Food was delivered 20 minutes after being ordered even though site suggested 30-45 minutes.

The food here is always good but each time I order the deliveries are getting slower and slower. Most recently my order took 2 hours to arrive and I only live 7 blocks away. Probably won't order here again.

I don't understand all these great ratings! We have tried it twice, and got different things each time. They were all gross--so bad that I didn't even want to finish, much less eat the leftovers. No problems with delivery, but the food was bland, the flavors weren't tasty--nothing good to say. It's too bad we don't have any decent Asian restaurants in the area.

Have ordered 3 times from here- the first two were amazing, the second seemed lacking. It was right around the time Lime Leaf closed; wonder if the kitchen got lazy after they'd driven out the competition? The curries are delicious, and I love that you can choose any kind of protein (including vegetarian "meat") with any kind of curry. The duck salad is the most intense combo of flavors- sour, salty, spicy and sweet all at once.
