I've ordered from here several times & have been fairly pleased with the food. The BBQ quesadilla was delicious and I really enjoyed the hush puppies (The BBQ ranch really makes them great). My main criticisms are that the food could have been warmer & it's over priced. I ordered the BBQ nachos & paid an extra $5 to add pulled chicken but there was hardly any chicken added. The peanut butter pie is very good but the serving size is too small for the price.

I ordered for delivery at 7:55 and received an order confirmation from Seamless. At 9:20 the food still hadn't arrived, so I called the restaurant. They claimed that they had never received the order. That's B.S. as I received the confirmation. The order has to be confirmed by the restaurant before the confirmation is sent out. Yet another oversite at Southern Hospitality.

1/29/12 - Ordered One Hour Ago: Was told I was in the next batch to go out as they've been a bit behind... arrived exactly 90 minutes after being ordered. A lot of the dishes & sides were just "warm". The fried chicken was VERY crunchy & moist but could have used some more seasoning; even, if, just some salt & pepper. The sides: (1) Stuffing was different like a soft & broken up yet well seasoned garlicky bread, but it seems more like what would be underneath the turkey to absorb some of the sauce/gravy (2) the baked beans were reduced & thickened into a tasty BBQ sauced beans with pork (3) the fried pickles were a great blend of the crispy fried while retaining the vinegar accented pickle (4) the Mac & Cheese was a HORRENDOUS & Horrible bit of macaroni drenched in Velveeta [my girlfriend who is a huge fan of mac & cheese could not eat more than a 2nd bite, just to make sure that it was a bad as she'd thought] and finally the banana pudding is interesting but it is WAY over-whipped to where it seems like a whipped cream with banana... very light, but not at all what I expect from a pudding. Promising, but VERY disappointed by the 90 minute wait, the somewhat warm food that arrived & the horrendous Mac & Cheese... might have managed a 4-Star review as it was close to that... If you order from here, Good Luck!!!

i just received my food from the restaurant and I am WAY DISAPPOINTED! I ordered the pulled pork platter which came out to $22. incl tax and tip. The food arrived in 3 small containers No utensils or condiments were provided. They did not include the cornbread the food was supposed to come with. In addition the food was awful! Chicken was not pulled, mac n cheese was not baked (as shown in pics on website), mashed potatoes were lumpy and gravy had no flavor! This place does not deserve to have the words SOUTHERN in their name and clearly they have failed to deliver any sort of HOSPITALITY. STAY VERY FAR AWAY!!! I would rate it NO STARS if I could!!!

The food here deserves 4 stars, but the prices deserve 2. Their BBQ sauce is delicious, but with most of the dishes you won't even need it because the meat is so well flavored and cooked. I recommend the beef brisket. They're really big on advertising their fried pickles, but I find them to be rather soggy. If you think you'll have room, order dessert! But expect to have leftovers because the portions are HUGE, especially if you order a platter (although I guess that's to be expected). The only downside is that it is rather pricey, so don't eat here if you're looking for a cheap meal.

Too bad this place can't learn how to deliver. The food is really good. But when u wait over and hour for a delivery that's 5 blocks away and they are rude when u call to check on it -- I'm done.

Really-this is the first time I have ordered from them and I had to write a review. The food was absolutely wonderful-the collards greens were excellent, barbeque chicken great and the macaroni and cheese good as well. The order came faster than I expected and everything was top-notch. I will definitely order again and again!

First time ordering and I'm pretty happy. I got a call right after ordering saying they were out of something I ordered. The woman was patient as I tried to figure out an alternative and tossed in an order of fried pickles. They really made it right. I'll be ordering again - I just hope they have what I want!
