Spice Cove

I felt compelled to write my first seamless review because of how disappointed I am in spice cove. My sagg came in a bright yellow color with only traces of chopped spinach throughout. While I questioned if the dish in front of me was in fact sagg a huge oil slick began to form on top of the dish. I still decided to try the food and opened my order of $2.25 roti to find something that resembled a single greasy, very thin (definitely not whole wheat) tortilla. I set that aside and moved on to the burned and clumpy rice. Disappointment at every turn. STAY CLEAR of spice cove. If you live in the LES spend the extra $ and order from MasalaWalla .,, at least you will actually be able to eat lunch.

Spice cove delivers a nice variety of foods in their lunch special. They are quick with delivery and the food typically tastes good. I love their sauces that come with the meals, particularly the green one. Portions are small, but with a side of naan, it is more than enough food for lunch.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I was looking for a good price for a lot of food, but the saying is true: "it pays for what you get in life". Everything tasted exactly the same and everything was bland. I honestly think I could infuse more flavors in the chicken and the vegetables. The veggies were mushy, the naan was thick bread, and nothing had any spice. First attempt at ordering Indian in the East Village. Complete fail. I will need to try again soon. I am very disappointed.

Terrible food, ordered the lunchbox with medium spice levels. It seems they sprinkled Paprika on top without caring to mix it properly. It was extremely spicy and completely inedible. I had ordered from them a while back, and it was as bad as this time. I forgot about the last time, and accidentally ordered again. Never again!

tastless and flavourless. try another place. the saag was yellow (too much turmeric) and watery. The chicken tikka masala was over pureed tomato sauce. Both dishes lacked flavours that even excessive amounts of cream or butter could not solve. Should be renamed to Bland Cove
