As with practically every restaurant in Williamsburg -- with a few notable exceptions (almost none of which deliver) -- Spice Garden ranges from outstanding to inedible, depending on the day. The quality is good enough, along with the lack of better options, to keep us coming back. Recommended, though be prepared for the occasional disappointment (and accompanying heartburn).

Pros: good if you're about to slip in a hypoglycemic coma Cons: tastes worse than gas station food. I ordered the lamb tandoori. I expected delicious lamp chops rubbed with spices and cooked in a tandoor. You know, the delicious food you'll find in any indian restaurant. What I got was lamb chops which had been cooked to obliteration and tasted like cardboard. They were completely drowned in a sick, syrupy, sweet sauce reminiscent of some cheap bbq sauce. I asked for napkins and utensils, but they didn't put them in the bag. I had to dip my fingers in the sticky sauce.

I rarely leave reviews but read them often so i thought i should let anyone know who cares that this place is delicious, quick and good value - just what you want from take out I would recommend the shrimp curry, chicken vindaloo and any of the veggie dishes, also get the mango chutney it makes everything good.

Worst, rudest delivery guy EVER. Calls me and wants me to come down instead of ringing the buzzer so I can buzz him up. (A. I ordered delivery because I am very busy and I'm working B. I don't have shoes and a coat on to run after you delivery guy. C. this is part of YOUR job). Then he finally buzzes and I buzz him up, and he basically throws the food at my face and uses the f-bomb.. And stomps down the hall kicking over a bag of recycling and having a fit. I haven't even had the food, but I am extremely put-off and will absolutely NOT order from them again.

At first had high praise and reviews for this place, but the more I order here, the more inconsistent it is every time. Chicken Tikka Masala comes out differently every single time I order, don't know how that happens...

INCONSISTENT is an understatement. Ate in the restaurant a few weeks ago and it was fine. Not the most amazing Indian but great for this area. Ordered takeout tonight and received a gelatinous bright yellow mess instead of Malai Kofta. Tried to tell the delivery guy it was the wrong order but not luck. Made multiple calls to the restaurant for the right food but decided cereal was the easier option at this point. Too bad - had hopes for this place.

Great addition to Williamsburg's delivery options. So much better than Taj (yuck). Alas it is woefully inconsistent.

This is an abomination of Indian Food. Absolutely tasteless curry. I think it was sitting in a warming tray all day. The naan was literally a Bisquick pancake like my mom used to make when I was 10. Never, ever order from this dreadful place.

Ok I just ordered here again (thinking maybe I just ordered the wrong dish last time), but the Chicken Curry was terribly bland. Maybe they're trying to americanize their food, but if so, I think its a bit of an overcompensation. Taj is much much better.

Delivery guy would not come upstairs. Decent Indian food but what is the point of delivery is it is not delivered?
