Really disappointing. This restaurant is getting a low rating from me because I can't stand what they did to the Kung Pao Chicken and Hot & Sour Soup I ordered. Both dishes were mostly syrupy and didn't have any spice. The Hot & Sour Soup definitely needs more vinegar. On the bright side, the delivery was on time and the beef satay was pretty good. Sadly I don't think I'll order this again.

Spring Garden delivered my food very quickly! The food was of high quality and very tasty. I especially enjoyed the roast pork in the fried rice. All too often, the pork is simply sauteed but my childhood memories of fried rice includes roast pork and this hits the spot!

Food was decent, but their Chow Mein doesn't include noodles...I've never had Chow Mein just be vegetables before. The food always needs hot sauce,, but after that it's pretty good.

Dumplings: both dumplings and sauce are very flavorful- not watered down. Shrimp Fried Rice: didn't see any bean sprouts, but serving was generous, shrimp was abundant, deveined and about 1" curled diameter- yum! Delivery time was about 35 minutes (1/4 mile.)

Coming from Southern CA where Chinese food is cheap, delicious, and well-portioned, Spring Garden is not bad considering the caliber of Chinese food to which I am accustomed. The lunch special is a great deal, and the hot and sour soup (you have the option to add this for $1) is pretty authentic. After having tried a lot of Chinese restaurants in the Metro DC area, I would say this is the best one I've found thus far. It's good for DC standards.
