Waited two hours for extremely horrible and cold food. (wait time was listed as 30-45 min) Manager claimed that they were busy and was dismissive. To be fair his is usually what happens when your food is late and you call to complain. Its always "on the way". NYC restaurants apparently never make mistakes. And the food. All cold. Spongey overdone eggs. Special order for well done hash browns was ignored. Toast needed to be retoasted. I will never order from Sunflower diner again and you shouldnt either. I dont understand how places like this stay in business. Awful experience from start to finish. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Garlic chicken with garlic and mushrooms was so, so, soooooo good. Really high quality food. Delivery guy is just as awesome, always comes on time and he's super nice. I love this gem of a diner!

Notch above. They include nicer napkins. Food is prepared better than most diners.

Best diner in the gramercy/kips bay/murray hill area, and I've tried them ALL. Excellent breakfasts, with real hashbrowns (not NYC mushy "homefries") and beef sausage with skin that snaps when you bite it. Also a very good turkey club, which is how I judge a diner. Oh, and homemade chicken soup that isn't salty. Really you can't go wrong ordering anything from the 'Flower.

i love sunflower. they have great chicken salad, chunky and just the right amount of mayo and celery. tuna salad is great too. mashed potatoes rock, as does the gravy. they are reasonable priced for the hood. are fast and generous. i order from here often and recommend it as your go to diner!

Sunflower is a great diner in the Murray Hill neighborgood. The quality of food is surprisingly very good. I recommend the chicken and bbq chicken...both very fresh and cooked just right. You also get free pickles with your order. Yum!

I have yet to be disappointed by Sunflower. From breakfast to late night snacks, everything I've ordered has been delicious. Love their french toast and burgers.

I live on the same street as Sunflower so I frequently order here to get a quick snack when i dont feel like getting out of bed. The omelettes are always pretty decent and I am a fan of the shredded hash browns even though they are definitely greasy. The sandiches here are huge (grilled chicken) and they provide any dips and dressings on the side that you request. Overall a solid neighborhood diner that provides quick delivery (except on sunday mornings when the place is packed for brunch and hangover breakfasts)

Sunflower has the ability to make pretty good food, and in fact they often do -- the problem is, they have no consistency. One day you can get a really good omelet, and the next it will be burnt and inedible. I used to like their home fries, but for the past few months the potatoes have been hard as rocks. Meanwhile their french toast has always been bad with a funny aftertaste, but the Sunflower Sandwich I had recently was amazing. They also have a habit of forgetting things, especially sauces. Several times I have ordered the Sunflower Cheesesteak Sandwich, and it has come without the sauce; which is especially amazing because the sauce is their own special recipe and the reason the sandwich is so, well, special. Sometimes they will forget items entirely, and while occasionally apologetic, often times the person on the phone acts like they're doing you a favor by sending you what you ordered. Furthermore, they will sometimes just ignore the "special instructions" box, which can be really frustrating if they leave out something you've been craving. Over all the food is good, except when it's not, and I'll keep ordering from them until I find someplace better.

Ordered 2 omelets on a Sunday morning with an anticipated wait time of 30-45 minutes. Food did not arrive for over TWO HOURS. Upon calling the restaurant to check on the status after an hour, was told that the food was out for delivery and would be there within 10-15 minutes. 45 minutes later called back and was told that my order would be the next one to be sent out...So basically, I was lied to by the man on the phone that my food had been out for delivery. One it arrived, the food was fine, but poor customer service, highlighted by an overt lie makes me unlikely to return to Sunflower via SeamlessWeb.

Best of the diners in the neighborhood, but their french fries are not good (coated in some gross, fake tasting stuff.) For my diner kick, I get most of the meal from Sunflower and the french fries from Gemini.

A cut above the other diners in Murray Hill. Salads are actually salads! French fries are great.

Breakfast here is better than all of the diners in the area. Good, straight forward diner food. The eggs benedict and hamburgers are delicious.
