Sushi Friend

Just finished latest repeat order, maybe 5h or 6th time for same order. Wow. Tasted like supermarket sushi !! What happened? We thought we found our "go to" sushi delivery spot but was extremely surprised by the poor quality and mistakes with the order (ordered Tiger Roll - got so e type of salmon cream cheese roll - yuck). Will give you another shot - but only one. Hope they get back to where they were...

Ordered delivery and found the service to be extremely slow. I am talking about 90 minutes to get dinner. Once you get the food, it is actually quite enjoyable. They have a large menu selection and tons of rolls to choose from. For big parties of 6 or more, the Tray B is quite a good deal. An abundant amount of rolls that are well done. Their sashimi portions are good and fish is good quality. If they can deliver faster, I would definitely think this is the better delivery Japanese restaurants.

Awful. And I don't say that often when it comes to sushi. Heavy on the rice and the miso soup was not the traditional version and varied too much from the original. Not a fan and will not return.

Cooked sushi is good value for money. Part of my order wasn't delivered. It took another hour and fifteen minutes (on top of the original delivery time) to get the rest of the food. When it arrived, the soup was cold and was not what I ordered.

I almost never order food delivery - but I came home Thursday evening after 2 weeks of working extremely long hours and collapsed on the couch. The idea of making food (or walking to pick up food) was unfathomable. Sushi is my favorite comfort food when I'm stressed, but sushi delivery tends to leave me unsatisfied. Anyway, went on Seamless and found Sushi Friend, and after cross-checking the mixed reviews here on Yelp was expecting another disappointing sushi delivery. Especially considering the prices were really cheap. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised with how good the sushi was (I ordered 3 rolls). Super fresh and tasty! I've now ordered from here 3 times. The food is always good, but it loses a star because delivery is a bit slow (over an hour every time). And one time they messed up my order (I ordered an order of unagi sashimi, but all they brought me was 2 pieces of unagi sushi).
