Sushi Yu (Prospect Park West)

I've never had any issues with this place. Delivers to my girlfriends place in Sunset park AND to Clinton Hill. They've never been late.

The food is decent, but the delivery guy is the rudest person I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I've ordered from here multiple times, and each time the delivery guy is rude. I'm done dealing with it, and won't be ordering from here again.

Would give 0 stars if that were an option. Not trying to be rude here. spicy crunchy tuna roll: tuna was really warm, didn't taste fresh, lacked flavor, panko bread crumbs were soggy and stale. chicken teriyaki dinner bento: chicken tasted old, fake, plastic texture, sauce was bland, gelatinous, flavorless, gross, shumai was burned, the odor made me queasy, california rolls were barely passible, tasted like it was pre-made to made to order, miso soup tasted really old, the seaweed tasted strange, perhaps from how old it got. I pretty much had a few bites of the california rolls, then trashed everything.... Not a good experience for me.

I've ordered delivery from here twice, once via http://Delivery.com and once via Seamless. The first was a dinner order, which was far superior to our second, a lunch order. On the lunch, the spicy whitefish, spicy salmon and spicy tuna were all lacking any heat. It was pretty much just minced fish in a maki. When I order a spicy roll, I want some spice! The miso soup that came with the Three Roll Bento and our shumai were both luke warm to cold. Considering the place had just opened up for lunch and our food was here in about 40 minutes, I was not expecting that to be an issue. Also, the included inari needed some sort of sauce to add some sweetness, as it was near flavorless otherwise. The only standout roll was the Amazing Roll we ordered, which tasted fresh and went quite well with its ginger garlic sauce. We'll certainly need to order from here again at least one more time for lunch (and for dinner) to see if this was just an off day. But yeah, as of now Sushi Yu is best for dinner, not for lunch. It might be as simple as needing to hire a better lunch sushi chef.

horrible service. the delivery guy told me the tip i gave him wasn't enough and then proceeded to demand the amount he wanted in a tip. I was mortified at the level of disrespect

Can't be mad at this place. Not the best Japanese I've ever had in my life but it sure is tasty, the delivery people are always nice, and my food has been consistently well prepared and delicious with decent prices.

Meh food, bad service. 1. They are dishonest about the wait time by 20-30 minutes, and it's happened more than once. 2. The delivery guy demanded that next time I give him a bigger tip. Excuse me? I've never had any service, food, haircut or otherwise where someone has asked for a bigger tip. 20% for delivery? 3. Ordered here before and the food has been all right, but just discovered that the salmon teriyaki was burnt in some places. Great. Forget that. The restaurant AND the delivery guy can forget about my money. I'm not going to deal with that crap every time.

Almost didn't order from here because of the ratings... Glad I did though! I was very happy with my food as well as the service. I ordered the lunch special to my office and it was great... It came with a little bit of everything: the rolls obviously, plus a little salad, edamame, miso soup, and these little fried dough things that I've never had before but were awesome. I will be ordering from here again soon!

I like Sushi Yu a lot, and I've never had any trouble ordering from them. They've always been polite, and the food is tasty. Maybe not the best sushi in New York, but I always enjoy it.

I haven't even gotten my food yet, but i know i will never order from here again. After a half hour, I called because I hadn't received a confirmation email and she asked me to order it again. I said no, b/c then I would be paid twice. She called Seamless, my confirmation came 15 minutes later. Its been another hour and I called, and the food is 'on its way,' but the delivery man had the address messed up and kept asking me what street I was on, even though I told him at least 5 times. TERRIBLE SERVICE!
