The Cottage - Irving Pl

The food is always good from The Cottage but I am sick to death of them forgetting to send the soda with the food. I order the soda to drink with my meal and not for it to turn up after I've finished eating. Not a difficult concept right? I wouldn't mind if this was the first time but they've managed it three times in a row now. Incredibly annoying!!!

LATE LATE LATE! Estimated time of 15-30 minutes. We called at 1 hour and were told its "on its way" and that they were busy. Will never order here again.

The food it ok, but the two stars are for their cheapness. I request extra sauce and they never give me enough. Last time I ordered a lomein, soup, egg roll and all I got was one packet of soy sauce.

I live at least 20 blocks away and order arrived within 20 minutes. Food was warm and very tasty.

Not the snazziest of restaurants, but for delivery is perfectly adequate. It won't be the best chinese food you've ever had, but as a neighborhood staple chinese restaurant, this one is perfect. I don't like the White Meat Only option, though. I would prefer white meat, but the pieces are like very very thin chicken tenders and not the battered pieces of chicken in the non-white meat only dish.

This is my favorite chinese food in the union square area. They offer the best lunch-time specials. Their menu features an array of classic Chinese dishes and Thai food. Their beef chow-fun is incredible.

Average food and terrible customer service when they messed up my order...I ordered chicken dish and it came without chicken and when I asked them to bring me the meal I ordered I would have to come and pick it up if I wanted it any time soon. Then the delivery guy came 30 min later (not even that terrible) but he just brought a box with plain chicken and not the dish I ordered

Food is good, delivery is SUPER FAST (at least for me, I live practically across the street). Hot and Sour soup is very good, General's Chicken is good but not great.

If i can give this zero star i would. I've lived around the corner for over a year and never ordered from here, tonight i decided to give it a try. I was RIGHT, their food totally sucked. The stir fried veggie dish was sour (if not from unfresh food, it's from vinegar which I have no idea why one would use vinegar on a veggie dish). The beef stew noodle was tasteless. The dumplings had thick skin and minimal filling. It is probably the worst chinese food I had in the city.
