The Uptown Restaurant

Terrible service and mediocre food. It took them over an hour to deliver my food, and my concern was not met by any sincere apology from the restaurant.

Love uptown. The food is not always consistent though. But most things are usually yummy.

Order didn't show up. Spoke to the restaurant repeatedly and they blamed computer problems, the delivery guy and did not refund the order after it didn't show up 2 hours later. Incompetent and discourteous.

I am not a burger lover - in fact I usually remove most of the meat and eat the bun and vegetables with the burger's flavour... however Uptown's Classic Burger is so amazingly juicy and tasty ~ I CRAVE it! Their Banana French Toast is also a sinfully god, but not oily, brunch if you want something a bit sweet.

I would give Uptown Lounge zero stars if possible, and this is not just based on one bad experience. I've ordered from them twice now, and friends many more times. Each time the delivery has been excessively slow, the food luke warm, and the quality just mediocre. My latest order with them takes the cake, though. The delivery estimate was 30-45 minutes. An hour and a half later, I still did not get the food. Calling the restaurant, they seemed a bit surprised that I was concerned about my order. They explained to me that it hasn't gone out yet, and that they had suspended deliveries because they were busy with brunch at the restaurant (it's nearly 3pm in the afternoon). They asked if I still wanted the food. I said I did, as they'd charged the card already. They seemed very surprised by that. In addition, they made no promises about it actually going out the door. The background conversation between employees seemed to imply that the food was cooked and just was sitting there. I'm really not sure when or if I will get my order. I already phoned seamlessweb and had them remove the entire tip from my order. I will never order from Uptown Lounge again, nor go there in person after the way they treat customers who have already paid for something.

They advertise delivery within 45-60 minutes (which is very long for Manhattan anyway) but I have waited for almost an hour and a half with no delivery. I've called twice only to be told "It's on its way right now, we promise" - the first time they told me that was over 30 minutes ago. I will never order from Uptown Lounge again - the food (from what I've had in the past) is definitely not worth this type of wait (and my food tonight still has not arrived!!!!!).

Good overall variety. Salads are ok. Burgers are big & delicious. Prompt delivery. Prices could be better.

I ordered the dumplings and Grilled Duck Breast....off the hook!!! So damn good...only complaint is I wish there were more!!! Not that the portions weren't plentiful...just, I am a big eater. Highly recommend this place!!! Its damn good!!!!

Awesome food!! Their white goat cheese pizza is to die for. Delivery can take a while but it is well worth the wait. I've never had a bad meal here and I order from them about twice a week.

The food is decent but its way overpriced and the delivery service sucks. I did not receive a straw with my fountain soda or sauce I ordered with my dinner. These details make a difference. I give it a 3 for food but a 1 for service. Next time i'll be ordering from elsewhere.

I ordered a burger medium well - it came medium rare. I asked for the sauce on the side - it was on the burger. And the fries were undercooked, just like the burger. The food was good after I cooked it more myself.
