I've been remiss in not reviewing Tina's Restaurant earlier, as I order from them almost every week. Simply put, the food is delicious and the lunch specials are an amazing value. I usually have enough to put half in the fridge for the next day--especially if I get something extra, like the fried sweet plantains, pork tamale ("Corn Meal w/ Ground Pork") or papa rellena ("Mashed Potatoes w/ Ground Beef Stew"), all of which are truly excellent. The delivery is also fast and efficient; I've never had them mess up an order. I love this place!

I was craving Cuban Food and Tina's did not disappoint. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast special and I only had 1-side, instead of two. I got the Sweet Plantain and because I only selected 1 of the 2 side options, they gave me a extra plantains... a lot extra! I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased with my meal. The onions, garlic and 'green' sauce for the chicken was spot on and everything was tasty and delicious. I also ordered a Papaya smoothie (my favourite type of smoothie...ever!) It was delicious and tasted like home in Miami. I was really in heaven. Tina's is reasonable, the portions are great and the food is fantastic! Definitely my "Go-To" Cuban food destination in the Midtown East.

The delivery ppl are extremely rude and wouldn't bring my food upstairs when it was specified on the order. Called the restuarant and the "manager" told me that they never deliver to my floor. When they have dpone so 8 times before. My order was taken back to the restaurant. The lack professi9onalism and I will not be ordering from them again. NOT WORTH IT NO MATTTER HOW GOOD THE FOOD IS.

Tina's is a staple at work, the delivery is fast and the food is awesome. I love the grilled chicken sandwich and the green hot sauce is amazing.

Tina's has a awful habit of sending your food ealier than when you specify. Case in point, today I wanted my lunch here at 12:45pm. The delivery guy showed up at 12:04pm. I wasn't in the office, so after a few phone calls he left and came back later. (After I reached him on his cell phone) I'm now eating luke-warm food b/c since the delivery man didn't find me, he went on to his next destination. This isn't the first occurance. I don't understand the point in specifying a delivery time if Tina's isn't going to adhere to it.

I always chose Tina's over Sophie's as it is less salty, bigger portions, and tastier (in my opinion). Good Feed. Great Value.

The food is decent and delivery is lightening fast. However, we order regularly and without fail the delivery is missing 1 or 2 sodas. Also, the delivery persons tend to call when they are leaving the restaurant and misrepresent themselves as already being at the building, which is annoying.

The food at this restaurant is usually quite good and authentic. However, when they were out of the codfish stew and I ordered the fried fish, it was a mistake. The fish was not fresh like the rest of their food normally is. It had a fish smell and the texture was very disappointing.

Everything here that I personally, or my co-workers, have tried has been absolutely delicious. Don't hesitate to order anything that may pique your interest -- especially the guava & cheese empanadas !!!

How can anyone give this food 5 stars? The food was truly awful - rubbery tasteless chicken, bland sauces, overlooked veg, even the flan was barely passable. Delivery was incredibly slow. Bad experience all round. Quantity is not value if the quality is appalling.

The good: I order from here pretty frequently. I usually get the spicy grilled chicken with rice and beans and tostones. The portions are huge! It comes pretty fast, hot, and has always the correct order (which almost never happens with food delivery). The white sauce (garlic I think?) is AMAZING...like I could drink it. The jalapeno sauce is a close second. The not-so-good: The tamale was a wee bit dry and rubbery...and just not good. Though I've only had them once and I eat lunch pretty late so it very well could have been an off day.

Don't order over the weekend. They don't pay attention to the order and are VERY STINGY with the food. I placed an order on-line, they got it wrong AND they sent me a HALF-CUP of beans to go with a HUGE platter of white rice. Will NEVER order from them again!!
