I have never written a review before on any site but I feel compelled to defend Tofu on 7th. Not sure why it only gets a 3-star rating when most people are raving about it. Do yourself a favor: order from here.

Szechuan food is legit. Hit up the Ma-Po Tofu and Dry-Pot Style chicken.

when i order extra protein for the extra $2 and there are merely 4 pieces of tofu and tons of broccoli i get the idea they don't really care or are extremely cheap.

I'm happy that I tried Tofu - it's great neighborhood Chinese food. The soup was fresh and light. Even the crab wontons were a step up from the usual fare. I'll be ordering again.

This is the best authentic Chinese food I've had outside of Chinatown (coming from someone born and raised in China). I love the chongqing chicken, cumin lamb, sliced fish with tofu and sesame noodles. I live in Cobble Hill and they always deliver to me in under 45 mins. The only downside is their non-fish seafood is subpar but that's a very minor complaint.

Delicious and authentic Sichuan food. I am thrilled to have a real Chinese place so close to us - no need to go to Queens or Sunset Park. Wonton in Chili Oil, Mapo Tofu, Beef Noodle Soup Sichuan Style are fabulous. Dry Spice Chicken is good, extremely spicy. Can't wait to try other dishes.

It was ok. The vegetable wontons had brown sugar on them which wasn't what I was expecting. General Tso's Tofu was overloaded with vinegar. I don't think I'll order again.

While the food is always good, I'm over the perpetually long wait for it to arrive. Tonight was the last straw as it took more than an hour and my wife going to kill me. She always says Seamless ordering makes it take longer... I never want to believe her but this the third time in a row. Beware of the delay! Encore: they don't read the instructions. We have two kids who are sleeping and clearly wrote DO NOT BUZZ on the bill. Didn't listen. Over it.

I ordered my food and received it an hour and a half later. When I called to check on my order, the woman on the other end laughed. Then she proceeded to say "Oh, we're busy". It was only towards the end of our conversation did she apologize when she realized how upset I was. The food was absolutely delicious and came hot, but it took an eternity to get. Needless to say I was not happy with the customer service, hence the 2 stars.

Okay, I ordered from here last night for the first time. The delivery took about 35 mins which wasn't bad at all. I was leery about trying this restaurant for the first time so I ordered some basic stuff. I got the shrimp fried rice, hot and sour soup and a large roast pork and pickled vegetable soup. The rice was okay but some of the shrimp were extra rubbery. Yeah you read that correctly. Not just rubbery but extra rubbery. The roast pork and pickled vegetable soup was downright nasty. The pork was just really thin slices of fat and the broth left a really nasty film on my teeth which I had to go and rinse my mouth out thoroughly to remove. The thin noodles in the roast pork soup were hard. I mean seriously i wasn't able to chew them. The only saving grace was the hot and sour soup which was actually very good. Just the right amount of spice and vinegar. I guess maybe I ordered the wrong things but 17 dollars for rubbery shrimp fried rice and nasty leave a film on your teeth broth just isn't worth it. I'll stick to my local hole in the wall and travel across the bridge when I crave some really good Chinese food. I only gave 2 stars because the delivery was prompt

It's not the worst, but there's really no reason to eat at this place. Just about everything on the menu is done better and more interestingly by Dao Palate, Wild Ginger, et al.

food is above average for chinese in the slope, especially the sichuan stuff, but as others have said delivery takes forever. at least an hour and half with the delivery guy getting lost and calling once along the way, and i'm less than 20 blocks from this place.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with this place- quick delivery, everything we've ordered has been delicious (with the exception of a weird miso-celery thing, but maybe that's just a weird thing) and the delivery guys have always been friendly and smiley, even in this appalling sub-zero weather we're having. I love this place.
