Two Boots (Ave A)

Good food, decent prices; I've had the Calzones a few times and couldn't recommend them more. They reheat well in the oven for those of us who can't eat two at a time (to meet the delivery minimum). I've had mixed experiences with the pizzas, mostly because they're full of very strong-flavored ingredients (like Purple Onions) that tend to overwhelm the other flavors. However, this may be your preference.

food was ok. However, delivery took 1 hr and 40 minutes (I live 8 blocks away). After the first hour passed, I called the restaurant and they said they would get right on it and then just hung up on me. No apologies or offers of store credit, etc. There are a ton of good pizza places in the East Village, so Two Boots isn't good enough to justify this kind of wait and poor service.

Very good pizza with some nice Nawlins (New Orleans) flavor. Two Boots makes a nice thin crust pizza with a heavy dusting of corn meal. There are some unusual toppings, such as andouille. I usually get their calzone, which is oozing with ricotta and mozzarella.

FIRST AND LAST! I have never written a review on Seamless and just had to for this order. After waiting almost 2 hours, I was delivered a stone cold pizza by a rude delivery guy. It looks much worst than a frozen pizza I could have bought at the grocery store. Also, way over priced for a tasteless pizza. NEVER ordering from them again.

Excellent pizza... got the Mr. Pink Small on Wheat, arrived within 30 minutes. Definitely will order from them again.

The calzone for the price is a great deal. I love the crust, which I think is rolled in cornmeal. The cookies are also a nice touch. I do wish they offered a bit more on the menu.

it took them 50 min to confirm my order, and another 45 mins to deliver, and I live one Avenue away. Super unprofessional. No order should ever take that long to confirm in the afternoon. I will never order from there again.

I rarely do reviews, but I was impressed with this pizza. Delicious, thin crust, greasy yumminess. I got the small pepperoni pizza with sun dried tomatoes, as well as a side of garlic bread (so good!). Delivered on time. Definitely will order from them again.

Food was fine (if you're ordering delivery in winter expect it to be nearly cold when it arrives, even if the delivery person runs to your apartment 2 blocks away). But the most angering thing was that the food took 2 hours to arrive. And that they lied repeatedly to me about the status of the order. I called after 20 minutes, noticing that they had not yet sent a delivery confirmation, and the lady on the phone said it had already left the restaurant. I called again an hour later, and she said she was watching my pizza being put into the bag. Finally, after an hour and 50 minutes and my last call to the restaurant, the doorbell rings. I asked the delivery person, and he had just ran over from the restaurant. It was slightly warm. They are very comfortable with being 2 hours late (despite a super close proximity) and lying a lot over the phone when they deliver. Never again.
