Wasabi Lobby

For the past few years, I’ve looked forward to my sushi fix once a week from Wasabi Lobby after moving further away from my favorite restaurant Yuko. However, the past two times I’ve ordered, I have been extremely disappointed. Things were put together in a sloppy way and I had to search for (just a few) pieces of tartar underneath the green dressing. To me, the presentation of the meal should be as aesthetically pleasing as it is taste-wise. I get the feeling the restaurant doesn’t take pride in the delivery of the meals it makes to customers as it does to customers in their restaurant. Sushi isn’t cheap, and I’m sorry but I won’t be ordering from there anymore. It’s too bad because I feel they have been better.

I know there are more authentic sushi restaurants on the UES, but I always end up at Wasabi Lobby anyhow. I love their Rainbow Roll and gyoza with a passion. I've ordered that combo from a variety of sushi restaurants, and Wasabi Lobby's is by far the tastiest and biggest portion for the money. I know traditional rolls are supposed to be more petite, but I love how generous Wasabi Lobby is with the raw fish on top. Yum!! The rest of the food is ok, but I always go here when I want a good rainbow roll.

wasabi lobby lovers roll is possibly the best thing ive ever eaten. there really is no way to describe how amazing it is, you just have to try it.

The sushi tasted old, soft mushy and grainy. And apparently they left all the wasabi in the lobby - because there was almost none with three rolls.

This resaurant boasted 10-25 minute delivery times. It took 45 minutes. If you're looking for something quick, this place, well, just isn't it. Food was okay.

I figured the negative reviews were one offs and gave this a chance. Then the peanut sauce that came with my chicken sate was rancid and the shrimp tempura roll was pretty pathetic. Not ordering again.

Food is very good. However, it took them 55 minutes to deliver when I was told it would take 10 - 25 minutes. When it finally arrived there was no soy sauce included. They sent over someone right away with soy sauce but he proceeded to give me an attitude waving the receipt in my face saying how I didn't request extra soy sauce. I never wanted extra, I just wanted what was suppose to come with my lunch. Even though this food is very good I will never order from them again.

TERRIBLE customer service, rude on the phone, they sent the wrong thing and instead of correcting they argued with me, definitely a place i wont order from in the future

Service is HORRIFIC. Food is just ok. I had a problem with my order and the manager hung up on me. There are too many other great UES sushi restaurants to order from here.

50/50 split on the food. the lovers roll was amazing. and the goyza was great. but the chicken skewer and the sex "something" roll were not as good. maybe stick to the "frequently ordered" items and your whole order will be wonderful instead of just half.

Absolutely perfect! I couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a spicy salmon roll. It was unbelievably fresh and the perfect amount...the largest roll you could imagine that still managed to be bite sized. The miso soup was great too! I found a new favorite place, I highly recommend.
