'Wichcraft (245 Park Ave)

3.5 stars I’m amending my previous 1 star review done shortly after this branch of ‘Wichcraft opened. It had a terrible, terrible start, but it’s very much improved since then. Their bacon and egg sandwich is delicious, and their meatloaf sandwich is probably the best I’ve ever had, anywhere. Their salads and dressings work together beautifully. The sandwiches are not huge, as so many NY deli sandwiches are. They’re normal, human sized things. The prices are really high for the size, but not for the quality. I’d much rather spend a couple bucks more for great meatloaf sandwich than the alternative. Their potato salad pretty bad (the potatoes were undercooked the few times I ordered it). And their desserty things are just bland generic versions of whatever. I order from there once or twice a week.

The food is great, but I've experienced so many delivery issues I am constantly hesitant to order. Once they took over two hours to deliver so I had to cancel my order, next time they delivered the salad version of my order (while I was pleasantly surprised how good it was, it is still a wrong delivery).

I'm thrilled to say they seem to have resolved the delivery issues so their rating has gone way up!! Two things keeping them from a 5 star rating. 1- They no longer cut their sandwiches in half. They say they are doing this to increase productivity. It helps with theirs, but isn't good for mine! You have to ASK them to cut it. If I forget I have to go to my office kitchen to cut it myself. Really insane. Who sells sandwiches without cutting them in half?? 2-The tomato soup isn't as good as it used to be. They seem to have messed with the recipe. It's got more of a kick to it now and somehow seems a little more oily. I loved it before. It's a shame.

Great food.... Would give 4 stars for that but unacceptable wait every single time!! Took 2 hours today for delivery. For the past year they can't get their act together on delivery.

i didn't get horseradish on my sandwich and it wasn't worth the money i paid for it. i won't order from here again.

i hate to give these guys a bad review because the food is good, however, no matter how good the food is, if you're in a food delivery business, you need to read the instructions and try to be on time, which these guys NEVER are. avoid them like the plague.

The food is good, but the delivery is horrendous. It takes them close to 2 hours to deliver a sandwich, and this is every time. I finally stopped ordering because the long wait and hassle of calling them and being put on hold for 10 minutes while they try to figure out what happened to the order just wasn't worth it.

Delivery was well within the window. Food quality was quite varied--the tomato soup was too salty while the goat cheese sandwich had a nice mix of cheese and almond butter. The tuna on greens was a huge disappointment. We expected sushi grade tuna on fresh greens and instead got something akin to canned tuna fish on onions. The flank steak sandwich was the best thing we ordered, and the only menu item that I would order again.

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. I can't tell you how the food was because I didn't eat it. The delivery estimate was 35-50 minutes. I called after an hour and 20 minutes to find out the status and was told it should be there "any minute" because it left the store 25 minutes ago. I finally had to go get something else to eat and when I came back the delivery guy was sitting in the lobby.... an hour and 50 minutes after I ordered the food.

Order was incorrect when delivered... we called and asked to have the correct order sent and they delivered the SAME incorrect order again. No apology... Order somewhere else.
