Wild Ginger (51st St.)

I order exactly one thing from Wild Ginger. I am not a fan of "Pan Asian" especially from such diverse regions as Japan, China and Singapore -- the cuisines are so different! Still, I had a hankering for Singaporean curry noodles and Wild Ginger delivered -- quite fast, 20-30 minutes. Could it have more curry? Yes. Could it be slightly less greasy? Yes. Could it have more heat? Yes (but that's me). Makes three meals, too, so not a bad deal at the end of the day.

I ordered from Wild Ginger today around 1pm for myself and 3 colleagues. Imagine my surprise when the restaurant called to inquire about (rather than ignore) something I'd written in the notes for my meal. All the meals arrived quickly, and the delivery person even had the presence of mind to pack the cold items together. The seltzer was practically freezing, and my salad was still cold. If you order deliver as much as I do, you know that it's rare when a delivery is not in some way messed up with spilled food, cold things ruined by hot ones, or a forgotten item. Yes, I am praising Wild Ginger for doing their job correctly, but that is what the service industry has come to. I might add that the steamed veggies lunch option is delicious, comes with a LOT of tofu and a wide variety of vegetables. The salad dressing for the complimentary salad was delicious and not too runny. I am a very happy customer and will order from them again and again.

I was quite impressed with the food here! The general tso's chicken was crispy but not too hard, and the flavors were sweet and a little spicy, just how I like it. The dessert was superb too! I had hazelnut chocolate mousse cake- yummy! Perfect small size, a little bit of crunch and all those chocolate, hazelnut, flavors melded together on my palate. I highly recommend Wild Ginger, and I intend to order that same dessert every single time I purchase from this restaurant!

The best General Tso's Chicken in Midtown, and I've tried a lot of different places. the sushi and sashimi is fresh .Delivery was quick. Can't complain and will certainly be ordering again. 5 stars for Wild Ginger

I live one block from the restaurant and they took 1:10 to deliver my order-- they promissed to deliver it in max 35 minutes.

Advertised 15-30 minutes but took closer to an hour. Had the Pad Thai and some other Thai food and it was not good. The chicken was that really weird processed chicken that tastes like it is made from the ground up pressed together feet, fat and skin... Why order from here when there are so many better places?

Hit or miss. The 3 roll maki combination is reasonably priced for this part of town. The first time I ordered this, the vegetable to fish ratio was very high. The second time, they took the "any" part of the any 3 maki roll combination literally. When I got back to the office, my yellowtail scallion, salmon cucumber, and eel cucumber rolls had magically morphed into spicy yellowtail, salmon avocado, and a California tempura roll, which isn't even on the menu. Needless to say, there won't be a third time.

We ordered Pad Thai and Udon Noodles. The delivery itself was fast, but when we opened the containers, the food smelled AWFUL. We immediately contacted the restaurant and Seamless. We got a refund and the restaurant came to pick up the food. It might have been a "one time thing", but I really don't feel comfortable to order from this place again.
