I have no idea where these bad reviews are coming from. Most likely, impossible to please people. I have been ordering from Wai cafe since they were on 1st avenue and 13th street. Just a couple of words to describe: Great service, prices, value and healthy. I love Wai cafe and you should to!

The neighborhood is really lacking inexpensive healthy casual restaurants like Y Cafe. Even Life Cafe has unreasonably raised their prices without even cleaning the place up. I have enjoyed their shrimp pad Thai, vegetable stir fry, grilled salmon with brown rice, chicken burger, eggs burke, Y Salad, and apple crumble pie, all were great. Y has great daily lunch specials!

Wai Cafe is the BEST. With Wai Cafe's eclectic menu, it is entirely in the realm of possibility to order from this place every night of the week and never be disappointed. They accomodate reasonable special requests, have very fair prices, and deliver very quickly. My favorite east village delivery place. try the chicken burger and their healthy chicken fingers, but most things I've had from here have been good.

Love their value but wish their delivery minimum was lower to take better advantage of it.

Food was terribly bland. "fresh-squeezed" OJ was clearly right out of a container. Will not order from here again.

Decent price for the money. Some times delivery can be slow, but most of the time it is decent. I get the Cobb Salad all the time (which is my favorite). The chicken tenders and buffalo chicken dip are decent. I tried veggies and tofu and it was good as well.

The only reason this order is getting 2 stars is because of the delivery service. It came relatively quickly, and the delivery man was just lovely. He was friendly, kind, and smiling, even on this snowy day. He really made me smile! Give that guy a raise! :-) The food, on the other hand, is another story. My salmon burger was literally just a small, processed, frozen patty that tasted like it was nuked in a microwave, on a pretty crappy bun. It didn't come with lettuce, onion, or any condiments. The side salad was just a handful of lettuce. No carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, nothing. And my fruit salad is a bowl of green grapes with 2 slices of apples and a piece of banana. Not good. Very unimpressed with the quality of food from this place. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

In trying to keep things healthy, they've sucked all the flavor out of their food. Yuck. Some things, like the gummy vegetable dumplings, we took one bite of and threw away. A few things were better, but nothing was good.
