Atami Japanese Fusion

All their veggie rolls are amazing, and I love the option of their brown rice, there's no compromise in style and taste with the healthy brown rice! That's why I love Atami so much!

I'm not sure why the overall rating is so low (3/5 stars) since most of the reviews are greatly positive. I have been very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the conscientiousness with which the delivery is prepared and wrapped. I am a heavy user of Seamless, and Atami is now my go-to place for Japanese food. I have also eaten in the restaurant, and love the food and service there. The restaurant lives on 2nd Ave and 61st St, a welcome addition in an area that is a food desert. The term "fusion" is misleading in my opinion, especially because I consider asian fusion a pejorative term where asian flavors are mixed with American/Californian in bizarre ways. Atami is much like a standard New York Japanese restaurant offering sushi, rolls, Udon, Soba, and Bentos. Fusion probably refers to their selection of modern rolls. There are many examples of this type of Japanese restaurant represented in every neighborhood in Manhattan, but I think this is the best of it's kind on the Upper East Side, excluding places like Sushi Seki which exists in a different price range and is not as casual.

I really enjoy the food at this restaurant. Freshly made and for delivery it is our go to Japanese restaurant. Staff are friendly as well.

Atami is a great addition to UES. Very reasonably priced, with outstanding customer services and attention to detail. We've been coming there since opening, and it never disappoints.

When it opened a few weeks ago we wondered why we might need yet another Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood. They have consistently good, fresh food and fast, pleasant delivery. Atami has earned the #1 spot on our list for sushi and sashumi.

I have now made several orders from this restaurant and dined in a couple of times as well. This is by far one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Why? The food is delicious, the price is right, the staff is amazingly friendly and did I mention the food is delicious?

I waited over an hour for my order. I called at the hour and asked where my order was, the woman on the phone said it would be here soon. Ummmm ya I hope so since it says the longest would be 35 minutes double that. So annoying!

This is the second time I have ordered the Sashimi from here. Both times the food was delivered very fast and to perfect temperature tasting fresh from the sea. Not only that there are 18 thick slices of varied fish that I get at least two bites from. Most other humans would get three. The delivery people have also been so friendly that my not so friendly cat is actually friendly when they deliver. I would highly recommend.

You can't go wrong when ordering from here. There is no difference in quality whether you're ordering delivery or eating there. The sashimi is amongst the freshest I've tasted and you can't beat the price!!

Hands down the best sushi delivery in Midtown East. Sweet potato roll is excellent and spicy tuna rolls are amazing as well. Dining here is also great! And its also awesome that this place delivers bubble tea =) definetly order your sushi here!

Presentation was amazing for delivery. If you want to impress some friends you will not go wrong with ordering from here. Food is great and fun, and the we love the price. It is one of our top restaurants and now one of our top deliveries.
