Avenue Cafe (Astoria)

Ordered the Cobb salad and strawberry/banana sweet crepe. The salad was super fresh! No wilted lettuce, perfectly shredded, the cheese and chicken were high quality and the bacon was REAL!! No doggie bacon bits here. I highly recommend the strawberry and banana sweet crepe if you have a sweet tooth. Lost a star because I waited 50 minutes for the food, but I was also starting to get get hangry, hah!

Ordered a the banana smoothie and it was amazing! Not sure if it's worth the price but it was great. I also ordered the fruit cup and got a tiny to-go cup of random fruit (including banana which was brown), for 9 dollars. Completely ridiculous. Overall the food was okay. Everything was overpriced.

I ordered the chicken sandwich on koulouri bread with a side of fries. $11 may sound a little steep but when the food arrived, i opened half the sandwich to add some mustard and was overwhelmed by the amount of chicken. There were 2 breasts on each side of the sandwich and 2 slices of swiss with a fresh slice of tomatoe and lettuce. The fries were a little soggy, but that is to be expected when it's delivered. Overall, very good food and was able to eat half for lunch and the other half for dinner.

Ordered a waffle, pancakes, eggs and bacon. Eggs came stone cold, not even warm, and they didn't include ANY syrup or anything. When I called, they sent the delivery guy back out with syrup etc, who arrived with a bad attitude. Never ordering from again, I'd rather use Cafe Via Espresso or Bel Aire Diner.

horrible delivery system, it took 2 hours to deliver a sandwich and I live 2 blocks from the place. I was sick so I had no choice but to wait. I called them to check the status of the order and to ask why they'd take so long, they'd apologized n said they'd send me a complimentary drink but they still took long and never sent the drink. Will NEVER order from this place again.

Portion of food was fine. Flavor of the chicken was good (could of had a little more seasoning on the chicken). Fries had a "unique" flavor.
