Bombay Dream

The food was OKAY, but I had just ordered from Baluchi's a week before and decided to try Bombay. Baluchi's was more expensive, but so significantly better that it's worth the extra couple of dollars per entree. Ultimately, I didn't hate this food, but it certainly wasn't memorable.

The Lamb Korai was very good as a main course, with strong flavors and a generous portion size. The Vegetable Jalfrazie was good too, though not quite as interesting. The time from order to delivery was less than 25 minutes, and the deliver was friendly, something I always appreciate.

Really enjoyed everything I ordered here.. So far it is my favorite place to order Indian in the area. I think the option to order a small side of veggies with any meat entree is a fabulous idea.

Best Indian in the neighborhood, and very fast delivery (even though Seamless says 35-50min). Perhaps most importantly, a place where an "Extra Spicy" option on the curry actually means what it says!

Always good, but had to write a review tonight because of the awesome service. We ordered at 7:55 p.m. and our dinner arrived at 8:08 p.m.... A complete dinner for my whole family in about 15 minutes?? Love this place and their food is always very good.

This place used to be good, but the last few times I have ordered from there, the food was clearly not fresh and everything had a mealy, unpleasant texture. I don't know if the ownership changed or what they have started doing differently, but it currently ranks among the worst Indian food I have ever had.

I love this place! Great food and the 14.95 appetizer and entree special is a good amount of food. I only with they would include more seafood options. I've ordered the salmon curry twice -- once it was good and the other time I couldn't eat it at all it was so fishy and gross. Now I stick to the veggie dishes -- the eggplant entree is delish!

Very good Indian food. They have great vegetarian options and are very clear on the menu what has meat and what doesn't. The order arrived with a wide array of sauces for your dipping and mixing pleasure. Also, delivery was very fast.

I LOVE Indian food and was looking forward to trying some out in my new 'hood. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Biriyani and ordered both to be of "medium" spicy heat. Both orders tasted really good, nice spices and authentic flavours; however, the medium spicy was REALLY SPICY! I'm pretty good at handling spicy foods, but I would say that this was too spicy for "medium". Also the Biriyani had whole cloves (spices) throughout the rice and my husband really crunched down painfully and hurt his tooth - perhaps infuse the rice with the cloves, then get them outta of there! Would order again, but definitely in "mild".

The delivery is a little slow, but the food is quite good and the prices are reasonable. Not my favorite Indian food in the city, but definitely one of the better choices in the neighborhood. If you order, add their Mango Lassi which is the perfect finish to some of the spicier dishes.

The special is a great value. Appetizer, entree and bread - can't go wrong. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for Indian food in Carroll Gardens.
