I love Chaat Cafe. Seriously, if there were Chaat Cafe T-shirts I would wear one. Great Indian dishes with a little US flair. Great value and great food. Try to get a seat during lunch and you'll see what I mean.

Food was okay. Quite tasty, nice and spicey but terrible service. The "A la carte" dishes include rice or plain naan as standard, but despite this (and despite writing that i wanted plain rice) the order came without...plain rice. For most restaurants this would be a relatively small issue, and one they would want to remedy immediately. However, I was asked to forgo the rice, meaning that my dish would have consisted of meat in sauce. Not quite as appetizing. After waiting nearly an hour, i was brought some rice but only at my insistence, by which time of course the meat was cold and my appetite gone. Microwaved meat in sauce with lukewarm rice for nearly $15 once you include tax and tip? Thanks but no thanks. I can forgive an order being wrong, but the complete failure to do anything about it - no dishes comp'd, and instead an offer of more free rice on top of the rice that comes with the dish (!!) - really stands out as being an example of terrible service that needs to be called out. Slightly above average food. Well below average service. Avoid.

I had passed by this place for years, but finally ordered some delivery from them a few months back. I've now ordered 4 times and the food is always delicious, delivery is fast and friendly. I love trying new Chaat "Indian street food" orders--the flavors are amazing!!
