Carnegie Deli

We love the borscht here and the chopped liver. Yes, it has a $15 delivery fee, but it comes promptly, with all the extras, cold veggies, bread, sour cream. The salads are great too. We ordered from them three times, never a problem. Food is fresh, delivery is fast, expensive yes, but excellent if you're in the mood for real Deli and sublime cold borscht.

Called me saying that, even though I met the seamless minimum, they're going to charge me a $15 "delivery fee". Totally bogus and false advertising. At least they called to let me know but, still, not cool.

This is a pretty cool place, and you ought to include it in your tourist plans. I ordered the CLUB DEAR, a triple-decker with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and bacon, and more bacon. Be sure to ask for some mayo and bring a friend because a half a sandwich is more than enough. I've tried three different deserts there, and found them to be good but not great (I'm spoiled by my wife's cooking).

This order was a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. We splurged for it bc I was sick, and we were so disappointed. The matzoh ball/chicken/noodle soup was oddly yellow and not tasty at all. The turkey sandwiches were dry. The whole thing was overpriced and underwhelming.

We spent well over the minimal (which is $65) for a business meeting and were treated like a bother when we asked them to deliver food they had forgotten in the initial delivery. While the food was great, the phone service is a complete disaster. Argumentative and poor customer service.

Awesome food, but you will pay for the privilege. Go with the pot roast dinner and any type of sandwich. HUGE portions - and I'm a big guy. Order extra bread with your sandwiches and you can make 2 regular-sized sandwiches out of each. Otherwise, you probably won't be able to fit them in your mouth.

Forgot the dressing, mayo and mustard on side. the delivery was on time, but the guy didn't speak English. I asked him if he was in the lobby or upstairs, and all I understood was "travaho".

Cheesecake-amazing, banana cream pie- too much whip cream, rugelach-not very fresh, shortcake-not available but called to swap in for lemon coconut cake-horrible. Very disappointing.
