Chelsea Square Restaurant

Outstandingly disappointed with Chelsea Square. It's true that one bad experience can erase even the most favorable memories of a restaurant, and this is so now. The food was an hour late when I called to check on the lateness, and it was an additional 20 minutes before it actually arrived. And with the exception of the desserts, the meat from both the pastrami and corned beef sandwiches were both gamey and tough. It's bad form to use as an excuse that your short on delivery staff, when the customer calls to check on the late delivery. One's understanding and compassion is in short supply when hunger is in control. Not one for hyperbole, however I will never order from this restaurant again.

they never have what I order! they couldn't make a milkshake to save their lives. warm melted ice cream is not a milk shake. otherwise, the food isn't so bad. there are definitely better diners but Chelsea Square is open 24 hours. The chances of you getting what you order, however, are extremely low. Sometimes they will call if they are out of something. Sometimes they will forget something and then argue about whether you ordered it. Generally, they never offer a solution and you end up having to contact seamless care.

food was 25min late and they forgot half my order - by the time I got my other half (cold dessert), it was another 30min and the restaurant is only 7 blocks away. doesnt exactly scream, "repeat customer"

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Order was placed at 11:44pm, with a delivery time of 20-35 minutes. I called the restaurant at 12:40am asking where my order was, and the person that answered said he called me at the 631 area code phone number listed on the confirmation (it is 917) to confirm the order as they were close to closing. When do the vendors do that? Then he ran through a number of excuses that the restaurant was closing and it was too late, and then that my address is outside of their delivery area, then that they don't have the food items ordered available, etc etc. I requested he cancel the order, and he said he would and I would not be charged. THEN, at 2:15am, somebody showed up at my door ringing the buzzer like a madman claiming they were making the delivery. I was already long since asleep, would not order food 2.5 hours in advance, and quite frankly was a bit terrified and furious with someone ringing my buzzer compulsively in the middle of the night. So, if you wanted to be treated rudely and stalked, feel free to order from here, otherwise avoid.

My favorite diner- delivery is fast and the food is good. I've been eating at Chelsea Square for years. Would always go here over Moonstruck across the street.

Wow, what can I say...for those of you who are just glancing through to make a quick decision: THIS WAS THE WORST DELIVERY OF MY LIFE (no exaggeration). For those who want details: in my 23 years of residence in Manhattan, this was by far the worst delivery I've ever had. EVER. I made my order a week ago, and it's bothered me so much that I am now writing this review. I ordered chicken tenders with fries. Not the most complicated thing to cook up. What I received was breaded plastic with chicken cooked so poorly, it might as well have been imitation chicken. The breading was completely separate from the chicken and was more filmy than crunchy/crispy. The fries? Might as well have called it a pile of slop given how soggy they were. I hate to come down so hard on a place, but this was a culinary travesty. Seamless users, you have been warned.

Food arrived quickly but my Buger was burned to a hockey puck consistency despite asking for my burger rare. When I called back they quickly sent me a new one but no fries, so my fries were cold by the time it got here AND I had originally ordered a BACON cheeseburger but they sent me a plain hamburger back. Truly terrible customer service, they don't listen and they don't care.

I placed my order for a Burger and Caesar Salad with Chicken at 8:40 pm. Even after unpacking and plating dinner I was sitting down to a hot juicy burger, crispy fries and my daughter ate delicious, perfectly cooked chicken and fresh romaine at 9:15, only 35 minutes after clicking send on the computer. The baked potato was even fluffy and hot. I didn't have to shop, go out in the cold or clean up. It was Great! Thanks!

The food here is good. Fries are always still crispy when they arrive and burgers still juicy. Usually pretty fast delivery, but I had an issue once and when I called to check on the order I was not treated well over the phone. It ended up they sent my food to the wrong place and didn't believe me when I said I didn't get it. Would have given another star if it weren't for that because it is a good diner!

Don't know why they are rated high overall, their service is awful - slow delivery time (said 20-35 and was more than double that) and when you call, it's hard to communicate with them. Long wait for less than mediocre food (turkey burger is gross), will never order from here again.
