China Place

China Place is the average Chinese takeout fare with two major exceptions that make me happy. Number 1 is that they are on Seamlessweb and allow me to be lazy and still picky in ordering my food. Number 2 is that their menu also includes sushi and sashimi. The sushi is not as fresh as a high class sushi bar, but it will certainly quench my "must-have-sushi" urges.

None of my instructions were followed, which meant I had to throw all of the food away (I asked for meat and fish free items). I ordered 8 vegetable dumplings and 6 avocado rolls. I received 4 pork dumplings and 6 eel and avocado rolls. When I called to complain, they offered me a free miso soup, about a $2 value. I will not be ordering from China Place again.

This is my favorite place to get greasy Chinese food. Probably not authentic, but it does the job.

I was obsessed with this place before I knew they were on SeamlessWeb. Speedy beyond speedy delivery and prep. Sushi is always fresh and tasty, and their other dishes seem to be less greasy than most Chinese restaurants in the area.

The delivery guy couldn't read an address and got angry at ME because of his illiteracy. Then when he FINALLY got to my classroom, he THREW the receipt at me. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The service was lousy. We waited almost 2 hours for the food to arrive. When we called we were given the run around. Unfortunately, there was a snow storm, which we were expecting delays; however, when the delievery man called, he was rude and refused to deliver the food to my apartment. He was demanding we come down stairs. I ordered delivery, not walk myself and pick it up. I was unable to go downstairs because I had a hurt food. Delievery man kept calling and harrassing us demanding we come downstairs. I refused and said that he needed to come upstairs. IT'S AN ELEVATOR BUILDING!!!! We finally got our food nearly 2 hours later. The people on the phone were rude. Do not order from this place. They don't understand the concept of delivery.

I never write reviews, but here I have to: More than an hour for delivery just for a veggie soup and a springroll. Food was cold, tasteless, veggies tasted all the same. When I called he said "give us tree minutes, the delivery is on its way"... took another 30 min. Seriously, you can't eat that crap...

Fantastic selection of exceptionally prepared Chinese and Japanese dishes. The mix of cheap Chinese " hole-in-the-wall" options along with well executed, more up scale Japanese selections, means, in one quickly delivered order, one could get belly filling fried chicken wings, satisfying, delicious, steamed little juicy buns, as well as decadent and delicate baby octopus. A great upper manhattan secret delivery spot!

The beef & black mushrooms I ordered was just disgusting, mainly because of the quality of the meat. I have never seen pieces of beef like those so far. Even the white rice, which is the easiest thing to cook, was not good. The rice actually had a very unusual smell. On top of that, the delivery guy was late. There are so many good restaurants in the street that I'm now wondering why I ordered food there...

food is fine. service is miserable. i've ordered from them twice. the first time they brought the wrong thing, then took over an hour to correct it. the second time, the delivery guy came, handed me stuff, and when i asked him to wait one sec while checked the bag to make everything was there, he snickered and just walked away. i called after and he didn't even turn around. i didn't sign anything either. this is the last time i order from them.

Kung Po Chicken order was Kung Po Tofu delivered. Dumplings were mediocre at best. Finally, delivery person called for me to come down to the street because he could not find a parking space. The restaurant is two blocks away. Not to be repeated

Ordered Egg noodles with chicken and steamed beef dumpings. dumpings were good, 4/5. egg noodles pretty bad 3/5. overall decent, fast delivery.
