Don Lobo's Mexican Grill

Ordered fajitas and enchiladas--standard fare, but both were huge disappointments. Neither had much chicken at all, as if extra fill of onions and potatoes could make up for the difference. As others have said, portions were small even before considering lack of meat. The overall impression is cheap and lackluster for entrees in the $11-15 price range. This is a very poor experience when compared to dine-in service at their restaurant.

This was great Mexican. It had a very authentic taste to it and wasn't too heavy. The order came in a reasonable time. They also had great plates that had a little bit of everything so you didn't have to order just one thing.

The tortilla soup is incredibly bland, with the consistency of baby food. The burrito I had last week at taco bell had more ingredients.. My search for real mexican food in DC continues.

Had the tortilla soup which was terrible, the chicken fajitas were similarly unappetizing (little chicken, very greasy). Chips were stale. Guacamole was decent.

Terrible. We were in the mood for Mexican and despite reading awful reviews on yelp.com, decided to order Don Lobos anyway. Big mistake. I am writing on behalf of my friend with the account, because she is in the bathroom. Don Lobos destroyed her. Here's a rundown of our food: 1 - "Cheese Dip" - we were really hopeful that we were ordering delicious queso. Not so. The cheese dip, which is a gross name to begin with, was not dip at all. It was a rubbery mass of, well, we are just not sure. (Did not finish {"DNF)) 2 - Chicken Quesadilla - Disgusting. Worst I have ever had. (DNF) 3 - Chicken Tortilla Soup - Actually, this was tasty the first few bites, though it was a very thick, creamy concoction which did not resemble tortilla soup. As I continued eating, I was less and less excited and eventually totally grossed out. (DNF) 4 - Platter w/ enchiladas and other goodies. This was the cause food poisoning. DNF) Here's my advice: If you are in the mood for Mexican, and despite better judgment, still want to order Don Lobos after reading the nasty reviews, stop. Don't do it. It is a waste of a meal and will leave you wanting, and possibly vomiting. One good thing - the delivery man was very nice.

This is among THE BEST Mexican deliveries I've ever enjoyed (I can only imagine what the food is like at the actual restaurant)! Everything -- appetizer, entree and dessert -- was packaged so well (and each clearly labeled) and, once the packaging was removed, the food was quite eye-catching and (indeed) ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
