Classic indian food, nothing fancy. Delivery special will leave you with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

Food arrived on time. It lost a little heat on the way but overall was still warm. The naan was fluffy and fresh in some parts, crispy and chip-like in others - which I didn't think I would like until I started eating it, and was actually pretty pleased. I ordered mild chicken tikka masala and it was still spicy/flavorful. Good portion size. Overall, I would order from Gandhi again.

ordered: Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Paneer Service: The service was pretty quick. Food arrived 25 minutes after ordering. Both dishes were terrible. I give 2 stars only because we ordered once before (same dishes) and it was good. This time neither dish had any flavor. The masala sauce tasted like tomato sauce, and the Saag was just cream and spinach. None of those famous indian spices seemed to be present. I hope that they just forgot today, or had the chef walk out tonight. Its June 8, 2012...did anyone else order tonight and have a similar experience?

I usually get the prawn korma and the sag paneer. Both are delicious! The korma is the best that I've had anywhere...sweet, with coconut shreds and raisins. The only downside is that the prices are higher by a dollar or two than other places I usually order takeout from. But when I have a craving for Indian food in Astoria, this is where I go.

better than a lot of the indian food in astoria, but the tandoori chicken is not marinated long enough and the meats in general are over-cooked and dry, unless they are covered in sauce (and then they are just a little tough). Again, this still means that Gandhi is better than most of the indian food in this neighborhood.

They've messed up our order so many times, made us wait even over 90 minutes. It's just not worth it. A shame their service is so poor since, food wise, they're one of the tastier Indian restaurants in the area.

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala extra spicy. While it was pretty decent food (and definitely spicy), the portion size was kind of small for the price. There are a few other Indian restaurants I could recommend before this one, but if you are in a pinch and have some extra cash to blow, give it a shot.

Their Chicken Tikka Masala was one of the nastiest I have ever tasted. BUT, the rest of their stuff is good for around here. This is the best of our limited selection of Indian here in Astoria.

Decent Indian food. The samosas were good. The tamarind sauce is really yummy.

Solid Indian delivery. The portions are generous, the naan is so delicious and fresh and they have some mean curries. I think we've found our new go-to for takeout.

The food at Gandhi is fine. Good, but not great, and we've generally liked it. But after tonight's appalling experience, we will never order from there again. Several times they have been 30-45 minutes late delivering our food. This past time when we called to check on our food (an hour after ordering) we mentioned that we were considering taking our business elsewhere. In the most sarcastic tone possible the owner said that it "pained him from the bottom of his heart." And while I appologize for laying into him in response, his subsequent invitation to come down to the restaurant to "tell him to his face" was not exactly in keeping with Gandhi's teachings! There will be no more business from us. There are too many options for good Indian food on SeamlessWeb for that kind of attitude. Dear reader, order if you dare -- but only if you have Gandhi's patience.

this was the worst Indian food I have EVER had in my life. I got chickpea and spinach and a samosa...an I can tell you the container was literally filled with oil to the top. I could not even eat it. And the Samosa was cold and very greasy. I will never eat food from here again.

I've been ordering from Gandhi for a year and they've always been consistent. I am a big fan of the Mushroom Bhaji and the Chicken Kurma. Very good prices for the serving sizes.
