Gobo (UES)

The food was fresh, but rather tasteless. There was an odd aftertaste to all the items. Good delivery. But will not order again.

Oh my goodness I love love love this place. Their food is always made with the freshest ingredients and the delivery is lightning fast, right to my door. Definitely recommend, don't hesitate just order especially the yam fries!

I just finished eating my dinner from Gobo and I'm very impressed. I ordered the Coconut Rice with Barbecue Seitan with a side of Scallion Pancakes. The Pancakes were cooked perfectly (crispy, but not hard and not greasy) and the freshly chopped mango salsa that came with it was a great compliment. The rice was an indian style coconut rice and although it was my first time trying Seitan, I really enjoyed it. It comes with a side of Pickled Shredded Papaya, which made the meal a bit too much on the sweet side, but it was an interesting flavor and I would just add less next time. All the food traveled well. It looks like they really take pride in transporting their delivery food as all of the contains were sturdy and very good quality (unlike most places). I will definitely order from Gobo again and recommend it to others!

Sooo good!! Yesterday was my 1st time ordering & I was so pleasantly surprised! Delivery was really quick & the food was delicious! I'm probably going to order from here again today! I had the sampler and chickpea sticks. So good!!!!

Food is excellent -- but 70+ min to deliver soup and appetizers ONE block???!?!?!? something is seriously wrong.

Delicious! I had the Tender Sliced Seitan in Ginger Marinade. The seitan was tender and the ginger marinade flavor was divine. It comes with brown rice, squash and kale. I subbed broccoli for the Kale and my order came exactly as requested, generous portion size and bang on time! Will definitely order from them again :-)

Outstanding. The food is high quality and you can tell a lot of thought was put into them to mimic both meat dishes (the sweet and sour "chicken" is better than the "real" dish) and to make them absolutely delicious. I am usually not a fan of fake meat, but the chefs at Gobo know exactly what they're doing with it. I recommend the spring rolls, pan-seared dumplings, stir-fry noodles with chickpea fritters, oyster mushrooms with black bean sauce, and everything in the Gobo sampler. I'm not vegan or even a vegetarian but if the chefs at Gobo could cook for me 3 times a day, I would become vegan immediately. It's THAT good.

Awesome vegetarian and vegan restaurant. Simply the one of the best on the UES. The food is sooooo damn good regardless of wether your a vegetarian or not. I love this place! :)
