Golden House

We are always on a quest for great Chinese food. We have moved 4 times within Astoria and every time we move it is always just outside the delivery perimeter of our old 'favorite' place. That being said we have tried A LOT of places and Golden House is by far the winner across Astoria. The best thing about them is the consistency of the food. Every time we order we know what to expect... and everything is pretty delicious. I've actually had people from out of town say that the Golden House boneless spare ribs are by far the best they have ever had. Ever. Now that's saying something. You won't be disappointed and I almost guarantee you will be more than pleasantly surprised.

I don't even try to order new Chinese food in Astoria anymore. Golden house is a golden child. Their crab rangoons are the best and I love their kung pao chicken. Solid food at a great price and more often than not fast delivery.

I love Golden House. Their deliveries are quick, even in times of bad weather. The food is outstanding and is always correct. Their wonton soup is the best in Astoria. They are my go to for takeout on 30th Avenue.

Dear Golden House, Where have you been all my life? Hands down best chinese food I have ever had. Anyone on here who tells you otherwise is either on crack or lying.

The Wonton Egg Drop Soup was pretty good. I really liked the Singapore Style Chow Me Fun. I found the Spring Rolls to be pretty okay (nothing special and kinda on the greasy side). ********************* Upon returning, I have discovered their Egg Foo Young (excellent) and their crab sticks (OMG greasy goodness). Golden House, you have won as my all time fav Chinese in the neighborhood.

My favorite aspect about Golden House is that they give you the option of steamed, no oil, and brown rice right on modifier list that pops up. I love the Triple Jade, and the fact that I can get it without oil makes it even better. The vegetables are always extremely fresh and the garlic sauce nice and tangy. The delivery is speedy and always exactly what I expect. The lunch specials are so cheap you can order two and save one for the next day.

Food is strictly okay. However, their delivery service is horrendous. Problems every time I've ordered; never on time, and food is cold by the time its delivered. Golden House is NOT golden!

Gave a one star because they forgot my free soda with lunch special, forgot a side sauce that I requested. Food OK. Nothing special, no flavor. Ask for spicy and they miss the mark. I read the other reviews about how it is the BEST in Astoria and I wonder???? My biggie is packaging. I am big on packaging when it comes to deliveries. The best places on SeamlessWeb have excellent packaging with a thermo/hot bag container. This is huge and makes the differences in hot or cold food. Golden House does not use one. Spend the $50 bucks. Still looking for good Chinese.

Extremely fast delivery and the oil free chicken tasted great and actually oil free. The fried rice contained a fair amount of lobster, and there was plenty of it.

i order here a lot they are fast and pack nice. i would prefer more rice when ordering the larger order they give same amount of rice no matter the size. i usually get Chicken and Broccoli i have to ask them to go easy on the broccoli or thats about 65% of the meal. all in all a good place.

sesame beef was beyond bland. would have sent it back if eating there, instead threw it out and ordered something else from a different restaurant. currently waiting for that to arrive and am upset that i wasted my promo code on this place.
