Gotham Pizza (1st Ave)

I've been ordering this pizza for 2 years and have never had anything wrong with any order. It is my second favorite pizza place besides my #1 spot in BK. Their cheese pizza and white slices are amazing. Really very very good and i highly recommend it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always order the Margherita pizza and when its good- its very very good (5 stars) but a few times its been overcooked and all greasy and gross (1 star) and the last time I ordered I ended up binning most of it. Delivery is consistently prompt.

I love the Margherita Pizza here so much that I somehow manage to finish an entire pie by myself. Once, I ordered a pizza and was called in to work while I was waiting. The pizza delivery guy had already left the store and I wouldn't be at home when he delivered. They had already charged my credit card. I called the next day and the manager (super nice guy) hooked me up with a new pie for free. I'll always recommend this place because the manager was real with me and empathized with my situation.

I've given this place a second chance and it let me down again. I just don't think the pizza here is good. The dough is strange and the toppings/cheese are just bland. First time I had a slice I had to look for something to sprinkle on the pizza, preferably salt. Second time we ordered a whole small pizza and I didn't even want to eat more than one slice. Don't order sausage, it's too overpowering. But if you do get something, get the garlic knots, they're decent.

I don't understand some of these bad reviews. The pizza at Gotham is fabulous. I have never been delivered a cold pie, nor a greasy pie. The toppings are fresh and hot, and the crust is perfect every time. Everyone likes a different kind of crust, and for me, Gotham's is just right. Not too doughy, but not too crisp. What can I say without sounding like Goldilocks? Just try the pizza.

Paid for a full pepperoni pizza but asked for half pepperoni / half plain in the special instruction b/c my girlfriend can't eat pork... Received a full pepperoni... Thanks for following simple instructions! Did not receive the side of Parmesan cheese I asked for either... There's no excuse! The special instructions are in BOLD print! Thanks again! I'm super satisfied!

This pizza was not good. The crust was thin and textured and flaky in a bad way. It was greasy and all around disappointing. If you're going to splurge and eat pizza, definitely don't get this.

I must say. I bought the Grandma's pizza on a whim and it is awesome. Huge pizza, they always deliver really fast the last 3 times I ordered and the pizza is really good. Feeds like 4 people, easy.

Good pizza and delivery guys. Yes it may be overpriced, but so is everything on the UES, and I'm happy to have a reliably good pizza delivery so I'll deal with the price. More topping variety would be nice though!

This was the first place I ordered delivery from since moving to UES, and I was like hm pretty good. I kept trying other places because I thought I might be missing a really good pizza place with a low rating. Guess what. This IS THE BEST pizza place. ever. Man. to think of all the money I've wasted trying different places... I am never going to doubt this place again. Gotham Pizza rocks! :)
